"Ink? That you?" Delta yelled to him through the void as they approached cautiously,  not wanting to startle him but also wanting to make sure it was actually him.

"...Delta?" A voice called back, turning his way. He was able to tell from the voice that it was Ink.

They teleported over, being careful as to not accidentally touch one of the 'papers'. They quickly waved to Ink to show it was him, "Yeah, I'm here. There's an issue in one of the AU's."

Ink returned the wave, but perked up when Delta said there was an issue. "Oh, which one?"

"I'm not sure," he replied.

"... there's an issue but you don't know where it is?" Ink hadn't meant for it to come out as teasing, but he was very confused on how Delta managed to find an issue but had no idea where he had found it.

Delta nodded, knowing how ridiculous it sounded, but it was the truth and it showed. "Yeah. I had to get out before I was able to look."

Ink paused a moment, "Well, what was wrong?" His pupils changed to question marks.

"There was a weird crack spreading in the ground. It acted like a black hole. It almost sucked me in." Delta reported.

Ink nodded, summoning a pen and quickly scribbling it down on his scarf so he could remember, "I see. Was there anything else?"

Delta shook his head, "No, not really."

Ink nodded, but glanced down, noticing something, "... your sweater's ripped." He stated, pointing at the ripped sleeve.

Delta quickly moved to hide it, "Oh. Yeah, I had a run-in with someone."

"Who?"

"Fell."

Ink sighed, "Again?"

"He started it!" Delta quickly responded, not necessarily in the mood for questions about it, but also knowing that he couldn't exactly stop Ink.

"How?"

"I went there by mistake, and he started a fight."

There was a pause, but it was quickly ended when Ink sighed in exasperation. "You really need to learn how to not accept challenges."

Delta did his best to hide the fact that they were rolling their eyes. "Not my fault he was an ass." He retorted, crossing his arms.

Ink held back another sigh, pinching his nose bridge, "I understand, but still. You can't fight everyone just because they're an ass, or just because they challenged you."

"Then maybe they shouldn't be an ass in the first place," he grumbled.

"That's just how his AU is. You know this."

"Yeah, and? Doesn't make it okay."

"I know. But still, he can't help how he's been designed. That's not his fault."

"Doesn't excuse it."

"It does. He can't help who he is."

"Then he needs to change it."

"He can't, Delta. You know that. It would mess with the whole AU and it's timeline. After all, you have no control over them. It's not your war to fight. You need to learn-"

"Yes, yes, 'not everyone can change just because you want them to, they can't help being like it', I know." Delta snapped at him, eyes starting to glow slightly as a warning, subconsciously taking a defensive position.

Ink's pupils changed again, "Don't get angry. Your anger is dangerous, you know that. Save your energy, so don't bother with it." He kept an even monotone tone, yet it was sharp and mildly threatening at the same time. As a warning.

Delta paused, stopping themselves quickly. "... fine." They hissed. He knew that Ink was right, but he recognized the specific tone he was being spoken to in.

"Good. Now. Is there anything else you needed to tell me?" Ink questioned harshly.

He shook his head, "No."

"Alright. Go on, then." Ink dismissed.

Delta barely restrained an annoyed eye roll, but summoned a portal underneath him and left immediately, closing it after he fell through silently.

The sudden drop startled Ink, but he let Delta leave. He sighed quietly, and then got back to work.

Delta didn't focus where he sent himself to, but figured it out quickly when he saw the Judgement Hall. They sighed, knowing where they were.
