Kabir's POV:

7 AM 7AM 7AM!!!

I turned off the alarm and woke up from the bed. I checked my phone and went to take a shower and did my morning routine.

Today I didn't go to Gym because I have an important meeting today.

I wore my Armani suit. Well, I do change my suit everyday cuz I got tons and tons of clothes. ISTG!

I wore my watch and took my phone and went downstairs. As as reached the hallway mom called me.

"Kabir!!" She shouted.

"Mom not now I have an importnant meeting now just text me." I said and went.

"Arey listen-" She was saying.

I reached my company. THE OBEROI COMPAN, the biggest company in India and 2nd biggest company in Asia.

I went in and everyone greeted me. I don't greet back but just nod. I saw one of my female employee and a male employee laughing with each other and the girl kissed his cheeks.

They seriously need some lesson on how to behave in my office.

"Aye you two" I said in my usual bold tone. They flinched and looked at me with horror in their eyes.

They came towards me but couldn't maintain eye contact. All they did was look at floor. "Do you both think I hired you to have your own romantic moment in my office?" I shouted.

"S-so-sorry sir, This won't happen again." They apologized.

"It better not." I said and left to my office on the elevator. I reached my office and went inside.

"Good Morning sir!" Greeted Amit, My P.A. "Hmm." I replied. "Sir actually the client have arrived just now. Shall we proceed?" He asked. "Okay, just a minute." I said. 

I saw my mom's text pop up on my phone.

'I have to talk to you.' said the text. I replied her text with 'In a meeting right now, will call you after the meeting."

With that I went to the meeting hall.

"Hello Mr. Oberoi." Greeted Mr. Saxena our client. I shook hands with him and greeted others. The meeting went well.

"We want to do the deal Mr. Oberoi. We're very impressed with the presentation and working with such a big company would be a pleasure for us." Said Mr.Saxena.

I smirked and said, "Thanks, Mr.Saxena. Let's sign the contract then, shall we?" "Sure" He replied.

They left after that and I went to my office. I called mom.

"You can't give some time to your mom, isn't it?" Shouted mom as soon as she answered my call.

"Mom chill, I've got time now, Tell me what happened." I replied calming her.

"I can't believe I have to tell you all this in a phone call." She said.

"Mom, just tell me what's the matter." I said.

"Now, you will listen to whatever I say and YOU WON'T SAY NO" She said, more as a warning.

"Unless it about marria-" I was saying then she cut me off.

"Yeah, it's about marriage. Ab kya karega??? This time you won't say no. Your dad has found a really nice girl for you. She is your dad's friend's daughter. We are going to her home tomorrow with a marriage proposal. AND YOU WON"T SAY NO!" She said without a pause in a loud voice.

"Mom, you know that I am not interested in marriage and bullshit. And an Arranged one? Mom not at all. Please don't force me into this." I said.

"You're already old now. And about arranged marriage, We don't have other options to get you married and it's not like arranged marriages are bad or they don't work." She said.

"Says the one who had a love marriage." I teased her. "Toh tu bhi love karna. Bola to tha, You don't wanna try." She said.

This made me remember my past....her. (Don't worry you'll get to know who 'Her' is in the further chapters.)

"Okay fine, I'll go tomorrow but If I don't like the girl, You're not forcing me to get married." I surrendered myself.

"You will love her. That's my boy!" Ok chalo Bye!" She said and cut the call.

I sighed and closed my eyes and held the bridge of my nose.

"Sir do you want anything?" Asked my P.A.

"Get me a cup of coffee." I ordered him. He nodded and went.

I started outside the building.

In these years I haven't been in love. I doubt if I've ever been in love...I've had few one night stands to fulfill my needs. C'mon everyone has needs. And in a way it isn't wrong. I didn't force those girls to sleep with me. They were after the money...

I did want a beautiful family at one stage of my life. But now, it's different. I lack emotions, I am just cold towards people, After all I'm the ruthless, cold businessman innit?

TBH, I know that I've got money and good looks and girls were only after that. They still are. SO it's really hard to differentiate between gold diggers and genuine people.

"Sir coffee." Said Amit and placed the coffee on my table.

Time skip:

At home.

I reached home early today. I went to the living area and saw mom there she came to me and hugged me. "Don't forget about tomorrow." She said and I replied "I know mom, I know"

As I was going Khushi, my sister came on my way. "No way bhaiyaaaaa, You agreed to marry!!" She said in excitement.

"I am not married yet, I can deny it if I don't like it." I said being a mood spoiler.

"Kya bhaiya, Don't say that I want a bhabhi nowwww!!!!" She said with a pout. Well she's my sister after all. She is the only daughter of Oberoi family so everyone treats her like a princess.

"Okay okay we'll think about it tomorrow." I said and left to my room.

I took a shower and laid on my bed thinking about tomorrow....Tomorrow's gonna be a tough day. I thought and fell asleep as I was tired.
