Kriti's POV:
The classes were finished. It was the kids' playtime. They always play and we have extra curricular activities for them before they go back to the 'Twilight child home'(the name of the orphanage)
They took me with them to play in the garden. I told them to make a circle and we played hide the handkerchief game. I too felt like a child while I played with them. Their laughter brought peace to my heart. After playing for a while it was home-going-time.
I checked my watch and it was 2:25!!
Oh shit! I'm late I should prolly leave, I'm already late. I packed my bad and took my leave after biding the kids bye.
I drove my car to the café which was 20 minutes away from the school. Thank god I had came to this café before so I had no problem with the directions.
I parked the car and entered the café in a hurry. I looked around to find Kabir and saw him sitting in the VIP area.
I ran up to him and he was on his phone.
"I'm so sorry, actually I wasn't aware about the time. I'm sorry to keep you waiting." I said and he looked at me with a blank expression.
I took my seat and kept my bag and phone aside. "Hmm, Be careful next time, I would be great ful if you're punctual from next time." He said with no expression.
I nodded.
"So, the reason why I called you here is to discuss about all this sh*t that's happening right now." He said. I internally rolled my eyes hearing him call 'this thing' a sh*t.
"Go on." I said.
"Before we proceed, would like like to eat anything?" He asked.
Not gonna lie, I was so hungry but I chose to go with just a coffee. The waiter came and I ordered my coffee and he ordered the same.
"So, as I told you yesterday, we both aren't interested in this marriage and to solve this issue..I have a plan." He said and I nodded.
He continued, "So, we will get married but only for the world. We just have to pretend to be a married couple till 10 months maximum."
"But how is that going to resolve this issue?" I asked.
"See, we will just have to pretend to be happy in this marriage and slowly pretend to act like this marriage is not working out and we will get a divorce." He said and I gasped.
"What?" I yelled-whispered.
The waiter came with the coffee and we continued with our conversation.
Kabir's POV:
I had been waiting in this damn café for like 30 minutes and this girls seems nowhere to be found. Should I text her? I thought.
Nahh, I won't let my ego down. I thought again. But should I? I thought in my mind.
Then I saw a girl entering the café in a hurry. It was Kriti.
She saw me and ran up to me. She looked pretty even in a messy state. 'Ew, Kabir stop it!' screamed my internal voice.
She apologized and we started with the conversation.
I explained her the plan and she seemed to be shock.
"See, after we file a divorce we can literally control this 'marriage' topic ourselves and our parents won't even force us anymore." I explained more.
She seemed to be lost. Then she said in a low voice, "Isn't that like playing with our parent's feelings and hope.."
