Izuku's POV
It's about 4am. I've knocked out and tied up 27 villains by now. I'm almost about to stop and head back when I feel a familiar presence."Kurai." The black-haired hero deadpanned. He's one rooftop away from me. I guess he knows that if he comes closer, I'll bolt.
"Oh hello caterpillar! Nice to see you! How are you doing?" Eraser has been chasing me for 4 years— I think I can at least talk to him for a while. I trust him.
"First, why would you call me a caterpillar." Eraser sounds unamused. "Second, I'm tired as h*ll because you won't just turn yourself in."
"Oof, sorry then! I guess you'll always be tired!" I giggled. "Also, how's your husband and two kids?"
"Wait. What. How did you—" Eraser looks like he's gonna fall off the building in shock.
"I have my ways." *cough* Mic's Facebook *cough* "Also, I'm friends with Shinsou and I literally saved Eri."
"How do you know about Shinsou? And how'd you know I adopted Eri?"
"Well..." I begin, and Eraser looks slightly interested. "It's a secret!" I snicker at the CATerpillar's 'seriously?' face.
"I know you are good at heart. If you turn yourself in, you'll probably be arrested for a while, but then you could actually get a real job as a hero."
"I'm not going to work with heroes, Eraser. My mom died because the heroes were too busy minding protocol and waiting for others to save her." I explained, making sure to leave out the details so that he couldn't trace this down to me.
Eraser looked speechless, so I took that as my cue to leave.
I take off, out-speeding Eraser and casually dodging his capture scarf. The distance between us increases from one building to five, when I jump down into an alley and bolt away. I lost him.
I open a familiar hatch and climb down. It's my base of operations: an abandoned military bunker. The government apparently left it after it fell into disrepair, but it's a good base for me. I've been living here ever since I escaped the orphanage.
My base isn't much, but at least I have a desk, futon and computer. Don't ask me how I found all this stuff. People throw away a lot at dagobah beach.
For running water and electricity, since it was a military bunker, it's supplied. I wonder how they forgot to remove it when it was abandoned, but hey, I'm not complaining.
I design and make everything myself. I made my suit which is partially resistant to fire and electricity, smoke bombs, glitter bombs (for the heroes), my electricity-charged escrima sticks and a grappling hook.
Of course, for my meals, I do have a part time job. I work at this cafe. Of course, Izuku Midoriya is missing, so I use an alias which is Atsushi Yamaguchi. Working in a cafe is beneficial for information gathering— it's crazy how many times I listened into a particular caterpillar and chicken's conversations.
Right now, I have to get out of my vigilante suit and go to work.
-Timeskip brought to you by a super-pissed caterpillar who needs coffee right now-
I'm at the counter preparing some coffee when I hear the bell at the door ring. I look up to see Eraserhead and Hawks.
"The usual, please." Hawks orders, and Eraser nods. I nod, smiling, and prepare their orders (a plain black coffee with a plain butter toast for Eraser and a caramel latte with a honey waffle for Hawks) while eavesdropping on their conversation.
Eraser: "I saw Kurai. He got away again."
Hawks: "Seriously, how does he keep on avoiding us."
HAH! If only they knew that a quirkless fourteen-year-old kid was evading them for so long!
Eraser: "We have almost zero info on him. I have the feeling that we won't find out who he is until he tells us."
Yup, you're right about that Eraser. I walk over, carrying their orders. I set the plates and cups down, moving fluidly and smoothly. The heroes sit in silence, probably mulling over their vigilante problem as I went to the back of the cafe.
-Timeskip brought to you by a very out of creativity CloudBunny-
Once my shift is over, which is like 12 noon, I go back to my base and collapse on my futon, feeling dead. I have about 5 hours before nighttime patrol. I have to make more smoke bombs and tranquiliser darts, I ran out last night, so that means I probably have 3 hours to sleep. I crash as soon as I close my eyes.
