Me and Bard rush back inside the house, with the good news on the company at Erebor fresh in our minds. Once we're through the doors, Kili's groans became louder than before. My heart drops from the sight of him but I quickly recover myself.

"They did it. They found the door. They're inside now." I inform them.

Fili and Bofur look to me with small smiles. "You hear that, Ki. They did it." Fili tells Kili, hoping that might ease his pain a bit.

Bofur's eyes drop down to my hand, which was still conjoined with Bard's. I notice him wiggling his eyebrows again, smirking. I was confused at first but then I realized why. I glanced down at our hands, pulling away discreetly before walking to Kili.

"Kili...I know what you said before but-"

"No! Please!" He strains out, shaking his head tiredly.

I lift a hand, feeling his head. "Oh my...he's burning up!" I exclaim, nervously.

Bard rushes to one of his cabinets, while Bofur gets a bowl of hot water and brings it to Oin.

"Can you not do something?" Fili asks Oin desperately as Kili continues to squirm.

"I need herbs. Something to bring down his fever." Oin tells him.

"I have nightshade...I have feverfew." Bard places things on the table.

"They're no use to me. Do you have any kingsfoil?" Oin asks him.

"No, it's a weed. We feed it to the pigs." Bard answers, leaning against the table.

"Pigs? Weed. Right." Bofur says before spinning to point at Kili. "Don't move." He runs out.

I sigh, walking over to the table, joining Bard. "I might be able to do something with this-"

"Y/N-"

"No, no, no. It's not that." I cut Bard off. "It's-it's a, a-suppressor. It might be able to slow the poison a bit. Gandalf showed me how with a few herbs, so I might be able to make it with what we have." I grab a few of the herbs Bard had out while I talk with shaky hands. "I'm not sure if it'll do anything on poison itself. It's meant for colds. Not this." I tell them, worriedly.

I've taken my gloves off so I can work with my bare quivering hands. As I'm working on the herbs, a manly hand grabs mine, squeezing it. I look up across the table at Bard, who's giving me a comforting look before he moves to stand next to me, helping me with the herbs. Both of us were unaware of the confused look Sigrid and Bain shared after witnessing that interaction. And the daggers being glared at Bard from Fili. While this was all happening, I was too busy to keep tabs on the dwarves at the mountain. My only concern now, was Kili. I can only hope that those idjits at the mountain don't wake the dragon...or get killed.

After a while of working, I gave Kili the mixture but it didn't seem to do much. I join Bard back at the table with a sigh. I'm really starting to get worried. What are we gonna do? Suddenly, a rumble shakes the ground beneath us. Everyone exchanges nervous glances while I use my sight quickly, to look ahead.
