Jeongjingak mages were going to carry out an investigation of Cheonbugwan due to the soul shifter in Songrim.
Yul and Dang-gu walked in the front, behind them was Da-hye and the rest of the mages were behind her. All of the mages bowed their head down to the leader and Jin Mu.
A Cheonbugwan mage was answering Yul and Da-hye's questions.
"That mage's job was to continuously maintain the right amount of energy in here." The mage said. "He was in charge of this section."
Cheonbugwan creeped Da-hye out. She felt as if something was gonna come out of the shadows and attack her. It really gave her bad vibes. But maybe she was just being paranoid.
"The soul shifter's job here was nothing important." Yul told the leader. "He was also warned for secretly looking at the constellation plates."
"It seems as if he was an ordinary mage." Da-hye said.
"My lord." Dang-gu said. "A lot of officials seem to have disappeared. Where could they have gone?" There was a secret room in Cheonbugwan that Da-hye was suspicious of.
"If they are hiding something, they will try to get rid of it." The leader said. "Watch and follow his men."
Dang-gu, Da-hye, and Yul spotted a wagon leaving Cheonbugwan. They were on the roof following it. Yul and Dang-gu went down the roof and landed in front of the wagon. Da-hye stayed on the roof.
"We saw this wagon exiting Cheonbugwan." Dang-gu began speaking. "Are you a mage there? Show us your face."
"Let us see what is inside." Yul said as he stepped forward.
One of the mages started attacking him. As Dang-gu and Yul were fighting the mages, Da-hye took the chance to look inside. She jumped down from the roof. The only thing she saw was a coffin before she noticed that one of the mages had jumped on the horse and started to take off with the wagon. Da-hye chased after it, leaving Yul and Dang-gu behind.
"Go after him!" Da-hye heard Dang-gu tell Yul.
Da-hye was fast at running but the wagon was faster. She heard Yul's footsteps behind her. Eventually she caught up to the wagon but the driver was already gone. The back door was open and the coffin was still there. Da-hye assumed whatever or whoever was inside it was also gone as well. Yul opened the coffin. Inside, was a Songrim Spirit Plaque. Da-hye and Yul looked at each other. Could this be Uk's or were the mages from Songrim?
Dang-gu arrived shortly after. "The man I fought just ran away." Dang-gu said. "Did you lose the wagoner?"
"We found this inside." Yul showed Dang-gu the Spirit Plaque.
"That's Songrim's Spirit Plaque." Dang-gu said. "Were those men from Songrim?"
The three of them showed the leader and Master Heo the Spirit Plaque they had found.
"An item that belongs to Songrim was found in a suspicious wagon that was coming out of Cheonbugwan." Master Heo said. "So it gives us no right to raise an issue about it."
"Find out whose Spirit Plaque this is." The leader said.
"As you all know, Uk recently lost his Spirit Plaque." Dang-gu said. "And judging by that burn mark, I think it belongs to him."
"This is Uk's?" The leader asked.
"I cannot believe him. He does not fail to cause trouble even when he is not here." Master Heo said.
"I want you three to visit Uk and ask him where and how he lost this Spirit Plaque." The leader said.
"Yes, my lord." The three of them answered.
