Damon woke to a loud CRUNCH he let out a scream. He looked down to his arm and a doctor was there in scrubs. "There we go that outta fix it" said the doctor. "What the fuck!" Damon yelled screaming in pain. "I had to set it or else it wouldn't heal right." said the Doctor. Damon felt the right side of his chest where there was now bandages. His shirt was off and he was lying on some type of hospital bed. There was a knock on the door. Damon looked at the door as Milena walked in along with the man who he saw on the rooftop, still masked. They approached the opposite side of the bed from where the doctor was. The man said "Don't worry Doc we got it from here". Damon, with wide eyes replied angrily "I don't think so, this dude needs get me a cast right fucking now"! The man held his hand up "Relax." he said as he pulled his mask down.
"My name is Lucas Raynott, and that man you just cussed at Is our doctor." Lucas looked like he was in his late twenties. Short brown hair along with short facial hair. He had brown eyes and was about the same height as Damon. "I believe you've already met Milena." Lucas said as he pointed to Milena. Damon said confusingly "Who are you people"? "How about instead of telling you, I show you". Damon stared at Lucas. Lucas turned to Milena and said "I got this under control, you get back to campus". "Yes Sir." Milena replied as walked up to Damon and grabbed his hand "You feel better." she said calmly and left the room.
Lucas walked to the corner of the room and unfolded a wheelchair. He wheeled it up to Damon who reluctantly sat down in it. "My arm is fucked." said Damon. Lucas chuckled "With some luck you might not need that cast at all". He pushed Damon out of the hospital room into the hall way. That's when Damon realized they weren't in a hospital. The walls were painted black with thin lines of red in a design all along the hallway. On one side of the hallway were the hospital rooms of which Damon emerged from.
The other side were seven feet high glass windowpanes, and through them you could see a courtyard with a fountain. Damon and Lucas got in the elevator and went down to the courtyard. As they enetered there were other people in the same strange outfits Lucas and Milena were wearing. Damon noticed there wasn't any sunlight. He looked up and saw a ceiling with lights. "Are we underground?" Damon said. "That we are." Replied Lucas as he wheeled Damon up to the fountain. Lucas sat on the edge of the fountain and said "The place you're in right now is our Minneapolis station. It's one of the seven stations we have in the U.S. for training recruits". Damon said puzzled "Recruits for what"? Lucas smiled and stood up "Here I'll show you." he said.
He pushed Damon through the doors and the end of the courtyard and down various hallways. They approached a door and Lucas opened it and wheeled Damon through. He saw rows of people all wearing the same red and black outfit as Lucas except the red was white. They were doing pushups in unison while yelling "Destroy the body! Construct the body! Liberate the body! Destroy the mind! Construct the mind! Liberate the Mind! Destroy the Soul! Construct the soul! Liberate the soul"! Damon turned back to Lucas "What kind of brainwashing shit is this?" Damon said. Lucas turned the wheelchair and kept moving. He took Damon onto an elevator and they went up four floors. They went down a hallway to a locked door that had a keycard reader.
Lucas pulled a necklace off his body. It had the same symbol that was on his shoulder. He scanned the necklace and the door opened up. Lucas continued pushing him down the hallway. He turned the corner and Lucas stopped the wheelchair in front of a large glass pane. Damon screamed. It was the figure that attacked him on the roof. Except it was even more distorted that before. It's head was completely there with the same twisted smile that went from ear to ear exposing its razor-sharp teeth. Then its spine and ribs were present as bones.
Branching off of it's spine was hundreds of thousands of the black veins that appeared to have a mind of their own. At the bottom of its sternum glowed a bright blue light. It turned to Damon and shrieked in anger. It lunged at the pane and smashed its head into it in the direction Damon was in. It glared at Damon. It's bright blue eyes steaming with anger. Lucas put the breaks on the wheel chair and walked to the front of Damon. "Fourteen years ago you saw this creature. It, along with a second, attacked you and your friend in an alley correct"? Damon sat in silence. He was in awe. Flabbergasted by what he was seeing. He looked at Lucas and nodded.
