"Hey Aria, is everything okay?" Luke asks her down the phone, she clears her throat before opening her mouth
"Uh, not really... my electricity is out and I'm kinda afraid." She admits, she eyes the room cautiously knowing in the back of her mind that everything's okay but still listening to the paranoid voice in her head.
Luke chuckles down the line and she rolls her eyes
"It's not funny." Aria sighs, she can hear him taking a deep breath to calm himself down
"Okay. It's not funny, would you like me to come round?" He asks her and she nods before remembering he can't see her
"Yeah... but only if you're not busy."
"I'm not busy. I'll be there in ten minutes okay? Just stay calm and remember that everything's okay." He says and she bites her lip
"Okay, see you soon."
"Bye." Aria hangs up before putting her flashlight on again and shines it around the room, waiting patiently for Luke to get there, when she looks at the time and realises it's only past 8pm she groans because she knows she won't be tired enough to go to sleep for the night.
Aria opens up Twitter to pass the time and clicks to compose a new tweet

Aria quickly gets a notification telling her that someone has replied and she smiles at her dads response

The door knocks and she almost jumps a mile before standing up and attempting to make her way out of the room, she opens the door knowing it's going to be Luke and he grins when he sees her face
"You're soaking wet! Come in!" Aria says quickly, moving out of the way. Luke walks in and shuts the front door before running his hands through his damp hair and shrugging his jacket off, she shines her torch on him and he grins before setting a bag down in the hallway and she watches as he walks into the living room. Aria follows behind him and sees him fiddling with his phone to switch his torch on too.
He shines it on her and she squints when it flashes in her eyes but then she watches the light as it travels down her body and she suddenly feels very self-conscious remembering that she only has a massive t-shirt and underwear on. She clears her throat before raising an eyebrow at him
"Like what you see?" She questions, Luke quickly brings his light back up to her face and when she does the same she can see his red cheeks
"Wh-What?" He stutters and Aria laughs "Why are you only wearing a t-shirt?"
"I wasn't expecting company." She defends and he nods before laughing awkwardly "What's with the bag outside?" Aria asks, trying to change the subject and he sits back on the sofa and plays with the tassels on the blanket
"Well I thought I would stay here tonight... Just to make sure you're okay,"
"Just to make sure I'm okay?" She asks "And how are you going to do that Luke?" She taunts, Luke bites his lip before shaking his head, probably trying to get rid of the inappropriate thoughts running through his mind. "Luke relax, I was joking. Dad will kill me though."
"Why?"
"Because he told me that I should only ring you in a major emergency, he's going to hate you staying here."
"Because you have a crush on me?" He asks
His light is shining in her face so she know he sees the blush creep up on her but she raises her eyebrows again before licking her lips
"Did he tell you everything?" She asks and Luke nods
"It's... cute..." He laughs out and Aria scrunches her nose when he says it because it sounds so childish.
"I'm 18. Not 12." She reminds him
"Don't I know it." He grumbles under his breath and Aria sigh "Anyway, do you have any candles in the house?" He asks and she stands up
"Follow me."
Both of them walk into the kitchen and Aria adjusts the t-shirt so more of her legs are showing.
"There should be some in this cupboard." Aria says, she goes to bend down without bending her knees and Luke quickly turns to look away but can't help himself to look at her long legs.
Luke quickly bends down beside her and sets some tea lights onto the counter along with a packet of matches and begins lighting the individual candles and placing them around the room before picking up some unlit ones and bringing them back to the living room. Aria follows and sits back down on her original seat and watches as he dots them around the room.
"So... uh, do you want to talk about it?" Luke questions and Aria looks at him with her eyebrows scrunched together
"Talk about what?" She whispers out, he smirks slightly, his elbows are leaning on his knees and his legs are spread wide apart and she can't help but bite her lip and to change her position on the sofa so her legs are crossed over
"The text you sent your dad." He answers, he's feeling braver than he did when he came in and Aria shrugs her shoulders
"Do you?" She questions "It was all a joke." She tells him and he raises an eyebrow
"Really?"
"Really."
"So, you thinking about how hot my smile and shoulders are is all a joke?" Luke asks, Aria takes this time to eye his appearance fully. He hasn't really changed since he was eighteen, his hair is still the same and his lip ring is still there, he's still rocking black skinny jeans and old band t-shirts. "Aria?" He asks, bringing her out of her bubble
"Huh? Yeah it was a joke..." She lies
He stands up then and comes closer to you
"And what about my hands Aria?" He asks, holding them out in front of her, he's standing directly in front of her managing to look even more attractive with his dominance. His right hand reaches out to stroke Aria's left cheek and she looks up at his sparkling blue eyes through her lashes. His thumb ghosts over her lips and when it leaves she can't help but want him to touch her more.
"What was that other thing in your text message?" Luke questions and she allows him to tip her head up before bringing her to her feet.
Both of them are mere inches away and Aria purses her lips
"It was all a joke." She whispers out "Unless of course you don't want it to be." She says, cocking her head to the side "Do you want this as much as I want it?" She asks quietly. He's peering into her eyes and she's looking for the answer to her question
"Yes." Is all Luke says.
