Chapter Nine: "I'm going to kill you."

Ashton's normally cheerful expression is replaced with confusion and almost a look of sadness. Amanda is staring at Luke, as well as everyone else at the table apart from Luke. Instead Luke is staring at Aria and she's certain his gaze is burning a hole in the side of her head.

"Don't fuck me around Luke." Ashton says, his voice is quiet and rough and Aria swallows harshly

"He's not... fucking you around dad." Aria winces, Ashton's eyes snap to his daughters and all she wants is for the ground to open and swallow her up.

"What does he mean he's in love with you?"

"He means that we've been seeing eachother for a while now." Aria breathes out "And Michael and Calum found us last night."

"Found you doing what?"

When Aria doesn't answer him he scrapes his chair back, and slams his hands on the table

"Found you doing what Aria?" He screams, her eyes widen as she looks up at him, she had never been afraid of her father, he had always been so laid back about everything, she never had to see this side to him the press and critics liked to write about. Ashton didn't know that Aria knew about his wild side when he was younger, his constant state of partying and having fun led to drunken arguments with paparazzi and anyone who stepped in his way.

"Found them having sex." Michael says.

In a flash Ashton is over with Luke, dragging him up by the t-shirt. Ashton roughly puts his hand around Luke's neck and Aria stands up knowing that this is what it must have been like before she came along.

"Dad!"

"I'm going to kill you. I'm going to fucking kill you Hemmings!"

"Dad stop!"

Luke grabs Ashton's arm and manages to get free but not before Ashton swings to punch Luke's face. Luke stumbles backwards and Ashton lunges again and this time Luke falls to the ground

"She's my daughter Luke! You had sex with my daughter!" Ashton yells, he gets on top of him before starting his assault again and seeing that no one else is doing anything Aria quickly rushes over and grabs her father's elbow

"Dad please. Please don't do this dad!" Aria almost cries.

"You're disgusting Luke." Ashton whispers

Ashton gets up and stares at Aria

"Home. Now."

"No! You can't make me go! You're smothering me! God, I feel like I can't breathe, I feel like I can't make up my own mind! This thing with Luke was the only thing in life I had complete control over until Calum and Michael found out." Aria blurts out, her eyes widen at what she had just said to her dad but when he doesn't flinch at her harsh words she knows he hasn't really taken in what she had said.

"I don't care, home."

"You should listen to your dad sweetie." Amanda says and Aria looks at her

"Can you stay out of this? This has nothing to do with you." Aria screams out, obviously losing the filter that helped her stay out of trouble.

"I need to leave before I kill him and you're coming with me. Think logically Aria."

Aria quickly wipes a tear away from her cheek and looks around the room. Everyone looks sympathetic and when she looks down at Luke he has propped himself against the wall and is holding his hand against his bleeding nose

"Don't make me carry you out of here." Ashton says and Aria quickly leaves the room, she waits until you hear the click of the lock on the car and when she does she roughly yanks the door open and gets in, putting her seatbelt on. Ashton and Amanda get in next and Ashton speeds away from Calum's house.
