Chapter Sixteen: "I let you go once and I'm not doing it again."

My heart is beating way to fast and it feels like at any minute I could pass out. My whole body temperature has risen and the car around me feels like it's closing in.

"Aria?"

Luke's voice echoes in my head and I keep hearing him saying my name and it's making me feel sick. He can't just announce out of him that he's still in love with me! He's the one who told me he only wanted to have sex with me.

"W-What?" I breathe out when he says my name once more

"Are you okay?" He questions

"You don't love me." I tell him shakily before clearing my throat "You told me you didn't love me." I say

"I was saying that because I didn't want to screw the band up. Your dad was never going to let me stay in the band if I was with you and you know that." Luke says loudly before pulling into a space at the side of the road, he turns to face me and I quickly look away.

"This is bullshit." I whisper out, taking my seatbelt off

"It's the truth Aria! I fell in love with you and I haven't stopped loving you."

"Fuck you."

"Aria..."

"No Luke! No. You've already fucked with my feelings too much. It's not happening again." I spit out, reaching for the door handle

"Where are you going?" Luke questions as I finally swing the heavy door open

"I don't know." I say back

I twist around on my seat so I have my back to the dash and I'm on my knees, leaning over to the back to get my bag. I stretch a little more to retrieve it and end up with my ass jammed between the driving seat and the passenger seat and I feel myself go red.

Stupid hips.

I finally reach the bag and I push myself back through the two seats. I sit down properly and pull my shorts up my legs before putting my shoes on and when I get out of the car I angrily pull the jumper Luke had given me off of my torso and throw it at him before pulling my top over my head

"Don't talk to me again." I say firmly before slamming the door shut.

I start to walk away from the car and hear Luke's engine start and soon enough he's driving beside me and I get flashbacks from the day dad found out we were together.

"Aria!" Luke yells and I continue my way down the sidewalk, not caring that people were looking at us funny "Aria, get back in the car and I'll drop you off home."

"I'm not going home." I angrily spit, keeping my gaze straight ahead

"You have to go home." I bitterly laugh

"No I don't. Dad's mad and I can't deal with him right now, just like I can't fucking deal with you." I say loudly, sheepishly smiling at a woman who was walking with her child.

"Aria stop acting like a fucking child and get in here so we can talk like grown-ups." Luke says and I resist picking a rock up and smashing the window of his car

I stop walking and instead turn to look at him, he stops the car and I narrow my eyes at him

"Fuck. You." With that I quickly walk away, turning down a path that lead to some shops I had been to before knowing that Luke wouldn't be able to follow me in his car.

What I didn't bank on however was him following me on foot. When I feel his warm hand around my wrist and he spins me around I almost start crying but I don't and I manage to keep my composure as he continues to look into my eyes.
