After dropping both Michael and Calum off at their own homes my excitement to see Josh was growing more and more by the second.
"I'm sorry about tonight." Dad mutters out as we pull into the front of our house. This was the first I had been home in a while.
"It's okay, I promise." I tell him, unclipping my seat belt. Dad sighs
"No it's not-"
"Look dad, it's fine. We can talk about it in the morning. Can I please go and see Josh?" I ask him like an excited kid and dad cracks a smile
"Sure." I let out an excited yelp as I push the door open and run around the side of the house, I see a dark figure sitting on one of the lounge chairs beside the pool and I clear my throat
"Hey stranger." I laugh and when Josh stands up and turns around I quickly run towards him and practically jump on top of him, letting him hold my legs around his waist whilst I lay my head on his shoulder and squeeze him tight. "I've missed you so much." I tell him, still pressed against him tightly
"I've missed you too princess." He tells me "And I don't mean to ruin the moment but why do you smell like a guy?" I open my eyes and lift my head so I can be face to face with him and I laugh
"I've been hanging around with boys all day."
"So I've been reading." Josh says as he sets me down and I frown "Is Matt the guy that threw you under the bus with the press?"
"Yeah but we got that sorted! He didn't actually do it. We're friends again. I've been staying at his house for a couple of weeks because... well I don't really have a reason." I tell him and Josh nods "You can meet him tomorrow if you would like?" With my hand on his arm I can feel him tense but he simply smiles at me and nods
"Sure."
Yep, they are definitely more alike than I once thought.

"So wait you're telling me that Luke got some bird pregnant?" Josh asks as he comes to sit beside me in the living room and I roll my eyes at his use of the word 'bird' but nod my head anyway
"Yeah and then it all kicked off and that's why we were at the hospital." I tell Josh and he nods
"You two should head to bed. Josh, the guest room is the first room to the left." Dad says as he comes through the door
"Dad's right, you need to beat the jetlag." I laugh and dad disappears then and I hear the door to the kitchen close
"I'm quite disappointed." Josh whispers as he follows me upstairs and when we get to the top I turn to face him
"Why?"
"I thought I would be staying in your room." He smirks and I roll my eyes before playfully hitting his arm
