"Ladies and Gentlemen, please fasten your seatbelts as we prepare for landing."
I look towards grandma and smile before pulling mine over my lap again.
"Almost home darling." She smiles, grabbing a hold of my hand.
When we finally do land it's around 3pm in Australia meaning it was around 3am in England meaning I was very, very tired.
When we both managed to get through security and grab our suitcases we make our way to outside of the airport where I immediately see my father standing with a pair of sunglasses on. I run to him and wrap my arms around him, feeling tearful at the fact that I was finally with him again. It had been me and dad for so long, spending a year a part was unnatural.
"I missed you so much Aria!"
"Missed you too dad." I breathe out as he hugs me tighter.
My grandma clears her throat from behind me and I pull away from our hug and dad smiles.
"Shirley!" Dad smiles, opening his arms.
Grandma gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek
"How have you been?" She asks as dad takes her suitcase from her
"I've been doing okay, how are you? How is everyone in England?" I watch as dad places the suitcases into the back of the car and I hop into one of the backseats allowing grandma to be in front.
"Everyone's fine. They all say their hello's." Grandma says, putting her seatbelt on
"And how are you?" My dad asks as he looks in the rear-view mirror
"Same old!" I laugh "I can't wait to get home and go to sleep." I say
"Maybe you should get your sleeping done in the car because I have a surprise when you get home." Dad says with a smirk and my thoughts go into overdrive.
Once we pull up outside of my house, the first thing I notice is the multitude of cars parked outside and it immediately hits me that my surprise is a party.
"Dad what is going on?" I question as I open the door to get out
"You didn't think that I wouldn't be celebrating you coming home did you?" He grins, wrapping his arms around me once again "You two should go on in, I'll get your cases." I nod as grandma loops her arm through mine.
Once I open the door a chorus of 'Surprise' and 'Welcome home' are yelled and I smile at the groups of people, some sitting on the stairs in front of me, some standing in the hall and some peaking their heads out from the lounge and the kitchen. The immediate sound after is of a baby crying and that is when I notice Stella rocking Rosie back and forth in her arms and I quickly run over to her. She sees me coming and passes her baby to Logan and holds her arms out to me
"I've missed you so much!" I say
"I missed you too!"
"I'm so glad you're here." I smile, pulling away from her
"I didn't know if I was invited or not but your dad called me and told me to come." I nod my head in understanding "Anyway, Aria, this is Logan. Logan, this is Aria." She grins and Logan holds his hand out for me to shake. "And Rosie, this is Auntie Aria." Stella grins, taking Rosie from Logan and handing her to me
"She is so adorable. Like even more cute in real life than she is on Facetime." I laugh "I love her already."
"Well I'm glad because we've been meaning to ask you something." Stella says and I look up from Rosie to her "We want you to be her Godmother." My eyes widen as I look between the two of them
