"So who was that boy?" Ashton asks as he drives both of them home, Aria takes a deep breath and looks out of the window at the passing cars and houses.
"His name is Matt and his mom likes 5SOS." Aria says quietly, a small smile playing at her lips "He thought I was going to jump. Truth be told, I think he was still unsure until you came along because he talked about going to college and anything really that would keep my mind off of the mess I'm in." She tells her father, Aria quickly looks over to him and watches him just nodding along "So what do we do now?" Aria awkwardly asks, her dad shrugs and she watches as his fingers tighten around the steering wheel
"I can't really ground you since you're technically an adult but I really don't want you talking to Luke anymore." Aria nods in understanding
"Don't worry about that, I don't think he wants to talk to or see me anymore." She tells him, her mind goes back to sitting in the car and she bites her lip, trying to stop herself from crying.
Aria shakes her head as if to get rid of the thoughts and finds herself parked in the driveway at her house. Ashton and Aria both get out of the car and Ashton unlocks the front door. When the door is shut he quickly wraps his arms around his daughter again and squeezes her tight
"I'm just going to go upstairs and shower." Aria says and Ashton lets her go, he watches as she slowly makes her way upstairs and he makes his way into the living room. Ashton looks at the coffee table where a picture of himself and Aria's mother Danielle sits. Ashton carefully lifts the gold frame and looks at the beautiful girl next to him, her beautiful brown eyes are bright and alert and she's smiling wildly at the camera whilst Ashton stares intently at her.
He remembers the day the picture was taken clearly. It was when they were both nineteen, a few days before they had found out Aria was on the way, Ashton had been telling Danielle about Five Seconds of Summer becoming a 'serious band' and how their lives were going to change forever what with the recognition of One Direction.
"It's times like these I really need you around." Ashton whispers and he sits back on the sofa, looking at Danielle's glowing face, remembering how the next couple of days changed their lives forever.
"I can't believe we're going on a massive tour so soon." Michael says as he looks at all of us and I quickly smile in return
"This is it. This is the big break we've been looking for." Luke says and we all agree with him.
"I'm going to miss everyone here a lot though." Calum mumbles "I mean we haven't been away from our families for such a long period of time."
"I'm going to miss Danielle." I quietly say, the boys look at me and I rub the stubble on my chin. My phone starts to vibrate and I quickly lift it to see who was calling me "Speaking of Danielle." I say before sliding the button across "Hey baby." I say with a smile and the boys start making gagging noises and faces to which I ignore and leave the room
"A-Ash." She chokes out and my eyes widen
"Dani, are you okay?" I question and I hear her let out a sob on the other line "Baby what's wrong?"
"I-I uh I need you to come to mine." She says through short breaths. I don't even question why she needs me before I nod
"Okay, I'm only a street away, I'll be there soon." I quickly hang up and poke my head around the door separating me from the boys "I have to go, Danielle needs me." I tell them before leaving the building.
It only takes me a few minutes before I'm standing at her front door, I knock it firmly and when the handle moves and the door is pulled open I quickly look at the sobbing girl for any signs of an injury before pulling her towards me, she sobs into my shoulder and my heart breaks.
