"So why is she here? Why would you bring her here instead of back to her own home?"

I open my eyes to a half dark room and when I start to focus more on my surroundings I realise that I am in Luke's bedroom. I sit up and my hand immediately travels to my forehead.

Stupid hangovers.

"She asked me to! She begged me to bring her back here, I was on my way to yours and she made me turn the car around."

That was Luke's voice, I swing my legs out the bed and try focusing on the conversation coming from downstairs

"And how did she do that? Huh? You expect me to believe that? She's an eighteen year old girl, how the hell did she make you turn the car around?"

That was my father's voice, I nod in almost agreement, how the hell did I make Luke turn the car around? Why was I even here? I couldn't remember talking to Luke last night or making the journey to his house never mind telling him I wanted to stay here.

"She told me she hated it at home, she was crying, talking about how she couldn't deal with you telling her what she can and can't do."

I start to feel even more confused so I get out of the bed and realise that I'm only in one of Luke's plain black t-shirts and I immediate tore it from my body. What was going on? Why was I here? Why was I wearing one of Luke's shirts and why was I in his bed?

"Oh I'm sorry, did we forget that I'm her fucking father? I'm her dad! How many more times do I need to say this to you?"

"Whatever Ashton. I think you should leave."

"I'm not leaving without my daughter Luke."

"Yes you are."

"Let me see her."

"No! She's sleeping, she was still awake at five this morning."

"Let me see her."

"No."

"Fuck you."

By the time I heard the sound of heavy boots running up the stairs I had already pulled my dress from last night over my head and I was collecting my phone and my shoes. The door was pushed open and when I saw my dad standing there, the dark circles under his eyes prominent I ran to give him a hug.

His arms immediately wrapped around me and his kissed the top of my head. When I opened my eyes I could see Luke standing in the hallway watching the both of us and then I pulled away.

"How did I get here last night?" I ask, my voice was hoarse and my throat was sore from the burning from the alcohol.

"What do you mean? You can't remember asking Luke to come here?" Dad asks and I shake my head before Luke scoffs

"Your friend called me and told me to pick you up." Luke says before he raises an eyebrow in my direction

"Why would he do that?" I ask in response

"He was leaving early this morning and didn't want you to wake up and be in a house full of guys." Luke confidently says and I look at my dad

"We still don't know the reason why you brought her here instead of home."

"I told you. She begged me to."

"Ari?"

I look between the both of them and take a deep breath before opening my mouth to speak

"I can't remember anything from last night. Can we please just go dad?"

Dad almost looks surprised at this and I start to walk away from him, squeezing past Luke. Something about him just seemed off, everything seemed off. My memory couldn't recall what had happened last night, the last thing I could remember was talking to Matt in his garden and that's when it all goes blurry. If this had have happened a couple of weeks ago I could believe that I begged Luke to bring me to his instead of back home but now? I don't think so.
