Hello Readers!
This is just a quick Author's Note before the update! :)
FIRSTLY, STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS, WHOO!!!! I AM SO HAPPY, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS IS REAL LIFE. OH MY GOD. Wow. It's going to take some time for that to sink in. I'm so pumped, holy. It's a Summer with Stanley, just like in this story! :)
Secondly, as this book nears its end, I am just announcing that there will be a PART 2 to this book! It is not exactly a book 2, but rather a part 2. It will be called "This Love is Ours". It has all the same characters, but a different storyline. It is focused around Patrick & Abigail and it is based a couple years down the road.
Of course, it is HIGHLY recommended that one reads this book before reading "This Love is Ours" because there are going to be spoilers, as well as to simply understand the book better.
It will be released sometime after this book is completely finished.
Enjoy the update :)

Wednesday, August 27.
Two days.
I have two days until I leave The Windy City and this beautiful summer behind me.
Has it hit me yet?
I don't think so.
I don't think I truly understand that I won't be seeing any of the people here until Christmas two days from now.
It will hit me though.
When?
No idea.
But, it doesn't matter.
Tonight, there is a big party at Corey Crawford's place, starting at 8:00.
Apparently, it's like a "goodbye" party for me, but I think everyone just wanted an excuse to have a "summer's-ending" party.
I've never understood those kind of parties.
Who wants to celebrate summer ending? Either way, tonight is going to be a blast.
But it's going to be bittersweet.
I'm going to have to say goodbye to everyone, other than the few people I'll be seeing in the next couple days.
I'll have to say goodbye to Chaunette tonight.
I'm awakened from my thoughts by voices making their way downstairs.
I'm out on the balcony on the main floor, of course, waiting for everyone to be ready.
It's 7:50, so we are leaving fairly soon.
Corey's house is extremely close to Trump Tower. It's actually within walking distance, but we have decided to drive tonight.
By we, I mean Jonathan, Patrick, Abigail, and I.
Jonathan is upstairs getting ready, and Patrick and Abigail have just made their way downstairs.
Abigail has been hanging out with Patrick, a lot lately.
It's great.
Patrick's mood has perked up a ton.
He's enjoying every second that they are together, and he gets this look of fascination and longing in his eyes whenever he sees her, or talks to her.
It's been great to have her around, as I've missed her a lot.
I make my way inside, closing the balcony door behind me.
