Charlie's phone buzzed.

He paused, looking down at his phone on the coffee table as he received a text from an unknown number.

Today was his day off, Sunday. And he was currently sitting on his couch watching TV. He'd been hoping for a peaceful day off, but it didnt seem like he'd be getting that.

Slowly picking up his phone, he opened the chat, reading the texts as he thought about who it might be that was texting him.

'Hey.'

'I've got a mission for you, Mr. Cicle.'

Okay, what? Charlie was fairly certian this was a message from the Syndicate, but he doubted it was Icarus. Or The Blade. Or Zephyrous. So, that would have to leave Apollo, right?

A bit hesitantly, he texted back.

'What is it?'

'Also, who is this?'

He pondered sending the last text for a bit, but decided it was probably fine. Waiting for them to respond, he thought about what the mission might be.

'This is Apollo.'

'I'll tell you about the mission tonight, just meet me out by the docks.'

Huh, okay. So it was the youngest one. That actually makes sense. Charlie paused.

'Where by the docks?'

'Oh.'

'Somewhere around the western Bridge.'

Charlie sighed, texting back an affirmative 'okay' as he leaned back.

It looked like he'd be staying out late tonight.

. . .

Spending the rest of his day sitting around, Charlie waited until around 8pm to head out. He hadn't been told exactly when and where to meet, but the Syndicate typically started their missions when it got dark. And 8pm was around the time it started to actually feel like nighttime.

So, he waited, and eventually it got dark, and he headed out.

. . .

The night was dreary, the cold wind blowing through Tommy's hair as he ran across the building roofs.

The world was covered in an orange light, a light cloudy effect following his body wherever he went. Running farther into the dock area, Apollo began to look around. Attempting to find a certian someone.

Stopping for a moment, he stood on the roof of a taller building, looking over the city below him.

In all honesty, he was pretty excited. You always see museum heists in movies, but never in real life. So now, he was going to get one of his own. Right now he was just trying to set up a distraction.

Looking around, he stopped as he saw a person, standing around on the roof of a building just a bit away. He grinned, spotting the crossed suspenders of the vigilante.

Exactly who he was looking for.

Jumping down off the building, he floated down at a slow pace, like his transparent body was filled with helium. Landing on another roof, he rolled and dashed, running across the tops of these buildings as he closed the distance between the two of them. Slimecicle continuing to stand there none the wiser.
