Tired.

Fundy was tired.

He spent all day playing with his cousins Will and Techno, and now all he wanted to do was go to bed.

Lying limp in the arms of his mother, he was carried upstairs to his room, where she gently placed him in bed. Brushing back his brown and white hair, she smiled softly at him.

"Did you have fun today, hun..?" Eret asked her son.

Fundy, only nine years old, smiled. "Yeah.." he paused to yawn, before smiling up at his parent, who smiled down at him. "When can we see Will and Techno again?" He asked.

Eret chuckled. "One day." They smiled. "But right now, you need to get some rest." He spoke with a soft voice, ruffling their sons hair affectionately.

Fundy giggled. He reached over and grabbed one of the stuffed animals he had on his bed, cuddling it tight as he yawned again.

Eret looked down at him with a look of pure joy. He loved his kids, all of them. Speaking of which, they had to go check on Hannah. She was still out in the garden.

Eret sighed, standing from his sons bed side and walking over to close the large curtains of his rooms window. Firmly shutting them, making sure it was dark enough for his son to sleep- though making sure the star shaped nightlight was on- she turned to leave the room.

"Mother..?" Fundy called, causing Eret to pause in the door way, turning to look back at him, tilting her head.

Eret smiled. "Yes?" She asked, watching Fundy humm to himself, and look around a bit before speaking.

"Uhm.. when I get my power.. I dont want to be a villian like you, or auntie Midnight.." he confessed, squeezing his stuffed animal tight as he seemed to wait anxiously for his mother's response.

Eret paused, their gaze softening at what he'd just said. Everyone in their family became a villian, it was just apart of the family buisness. He should have guessed, though. Fundy was too compassionate of a person to be able to hurt anyone. Not that their job was all about hurting people, it just came as a part of it.

Eret huffed, a warm smile coming over her face as she looked at her son with a comforting gaze. "Fundy.. if you dont want to be a villian, you don't have to. No one is going to force you.." he spoke, chuckling as Fundy let out a loud exhale of relief.

"Thank goodness.. " The boy sighed, gaining another incredulous chuckle from his parent.

Eret smiled, watching his son a moment longer before letting out a sigh of his own. "Well, I have to go check on your sister.." she smiled, turning and pulling the door shut slightly.

Fundy nodded. "Okay.. " He yawned, turning and curling up into his bedsheets, finally beginning to doze off.

Eret paused, giving Fundy one last glance as he lay there in his large bed, in his large room. Toys strewn across the floor, and hero and villian action figures placed on the shelves. They smiled, remembering how much Fundy had begged her to make figures of his favorite villians, because they only sold figures of heros in the store.

There was a small action figure, pieced together with scraps from other toys and painted to look like Flashbang. Eret. When they had given their son action figures of Midnight, the Doc, and some members of the Syndicate, they remembered how disappointed he was when his own mother wasn't there. So he made his own action figure.

And it was his favorite one.

Eret smiled, a wave of pride washing over her as she looked around her sons room. Before finally, he sighed, and left the room.
