Charlie sat on his couch scrolling through tiktok. He had about an hour until his shift and he didnt exactly have anything to do. So he sat there on his ass and watched memes on tiktok.
Scrolling through that app can be mind numbing and infuriating at the same time, and boy it wasnt much better today than it was before.
The next video on his fyp was a thirst trap edit of Icarus. What the fuck. He couldn't lie the editing was good but, Icarus?? He's an actual criminal. But to be fair, both heros and villains had their own fanbase, so it's not that suprising.
He kept scrolling and kept scrolling until he had about 30 minutes until his shift. So he grabbed his bag, and put his phone, wallet, keys and some earbuds into it. Putting on his red convers and changing into his blue dress shirt, he walked out of his apartment and locked the door behind him. Time to get to work.
Making his way out of the apartment, he walked back through that alleyway. It's no where near as scary in the daytime, now it's just kind of dirty and uncomfortable. His shoes brushed across the cold concrete as he continued to walk through the alley.
A quite rustle sounded from the garbage bags on his left. He stopped, what was that.
Eeeeh, it's probably just a rat or something. Yeah...
He kept walking taking a quick glance down at the trash bags. He didnt see anything. Funnily enough that's the same spot he had seen some green slimy stuff last night. Probably nothing. No need to get worked up over it.
He reached the end of the alley and sighed as the sun reflected into his glasses practically magnifying it straight into his eyes. Essentially blinding him more than he normally was.
Lovely start to the day.
. . .
The bus came and Charlie got on, taking a seat closer to the back. He took out his phone and some earbuds.
The specific song he decided to listen to was "cabinet man" by lemon demon. Actually the morning shift worker at the circle k was the one who had introduced it to him. Ranboo was a pretty big fan of their group, and almost half the time they spent talking to each other was just ranboo talking about their favourite bands or some new horror game that came out recently. He also makes cheezy puns and if you even remotely know Charlie than you know he loves puns.
Charlie was fond of the guy and considered him at least a friend.
The bus drove along and charlie looked out the window. Leaning back in his seat, he wondered if anything interesting would happen today.
. . .
The bus came to a stop, and charlie grabbed his stuff to get off. Stepping off the vehicle, he made his way to the circle k.
When he stepped through the door, an instant gasp of recognition sounded from the counter.
"Charlie! Hey man!" Ranboo called. He wore the same blue dress shirt charlie had on. The circle k had a certian dress code, and charlie found it weird but honestly didnt care. Ranboo had a black mask on and big fluffy hair. A pair of red and green glasses resting on his head.
"Heeeyyyy, Ranboo! Dap me up, man!"
Charlie spoke walking over to the counter. Ranboo responded with a solid dap."How ya been?" Ranboo asked
"Eh, tired. I slept on the couch again and my neck hurts like shit."
"Oof, hope that gets better. You doing anything later?" Ranboo questioned, stepping away from the counter and letting Charlie take a seat.
