hidden traps (Revised)

They stepped forward carefully, but Kira suddenly stopped.  Amelie copied her and whispered sadly to her: "Why are we standing still?"

Kira turned to her and looked at her with the look she always gives when something is obvious and Amelie still doesn't notice it.

Amelie is always quiet and thinks about it again.  Only this time Kira was quicker with her explanation and said: "The Egyptians are known for having hidden traps everywhere in their pyramids.  This is exactly what we have to deal with now."

Amelie nodded and grabbed a stone that was lying on the ground.  She got into a throwing position and threw the stone in front of her and Kira.

Suddenly arrows shot out of the side walls.  Kira was amazed, Amelie had just recognized the first trap and switched it off.

The other obstacles were approached in a similar way, with an object being thrown in front of them again and again.

Unfortunately, in the end the two of them had no item left, but were still faced with 3 obstacles.  In front of them was a hole with snakes, specifically cobras.

This is followed by a path that goes between two torture walls with spikes.  Of course it's not that easy, the walls move and then meet in the middle of the path to stab you with the spikes.

Lastly, there is a bridge that looks old and broken.  Under the bridge you will find a pool of water with alligators in it.

The two knew that theoretically they could only take out the second obstacle with the walls, but now they couldn't take out any of the three.

Amelie opened her hair and shouted as if in a bad book: "If we don't make it, no one can!  If we survive, we are heroes!  That's exactly what's going to happen, we're going to come back as stars!"

Kira looked at her confused and asked: "What's that supposed to be?"
Amelie replied with a smile: "I just wanted to cheer us up!" Nodding, Kira said: "Well then, let's go!"

Kira stepped forward and ran screaming.  She took a running start and jumped over the pit.  When she landed, her left foot slipped on the edge and she almost landed next to the cobras, but a thick stone saved her.  She held on to him and pulled herself up.

Amelie couldn't even look, she thought Kira was falling into the pit.  Kira then stood on the other side with her legs apart and shouted over to Amelie: "Now you!"

Amelie closed her eyes and also started running.  She managed it with a high jump.  On the other side they hugged and Kira already took care of the next obstacle, the torture walls.

First she threw her jacket forward so that she and Amelie could run through quickly.  "Phew, we only have to do one more thing, after that I'll have a lot of sore muscles in my thighs because of all the running." Amelie complained.

But Kira was busy finding a solution to this problem, which in this case is an obstacle.  She played the whole thing over and over in her head and came to the conclusion that they had to cross this old bridge very carefully.

This is the only way they have a chance.
Kira moved forward slowly and, above all, carefully. Only when she managed it, with difficulty, did Amelie follow.  Amelie wasn't the most athletic or flexible, nor was Kira.

But the bridge wobbled very badly and Amelie became afraid of heights.  Suddenly she lost her balance and fell into the depths.

The water was icy and the current was very strong.  Amelie was only able to keep her head above water with difficulty until the Aligartors came to feed.

She had no way of escaping the huge aquatic animals. She shouted: "One thing you should know Lira, you have been the best friend anyone could have.  Tell my parents I love them!”

Kira's eyes began to water as she saw Amelie being dragged under the water by the alligators.
