The city of LoOooOve 😍😟

When we got back to our spot in the canyon I see Gon, Artemis, and Bisky talking to a tall brunette man. At first I thought it could be Leorio but he was to built to be him. Apollo was lounging on a rock as usual. It occurred to me that Apollo probably came to get Killua after the rain stopped this morning. Nobody made a big fuss about myself or Killua's absence this morning. We basically just trained all day until Gon decides he wants another shot at the pirates. He's convinced that we'll win the next time. After a bit of chatter the boys decide that we should go visit whoever is impersonating Chrollo, assuming that he's strong. I basically zone out during the entire debate, thinking about ideas for my new nen abilities.

It's a fresh slate. I suppose I could always recreate my original abilities but there's no fun in that. Though, I don't think I'll stick with the concept of blood. It seems to be a running theme with me, very on brand. Sure, there would be some involved depending on the ability but that would be later. I think I will try to come up with something deeper. Bisky says emotions make nen abilities stronger so I should find something that provokes emotions. "Accompany on, Chrollo Lucilfer!" I didn't even realize that we'd decided on going to find the imposter. When we hit the ground we were in a swampy area. Apollo had gone with us and he let out a growl. I looked up to see a person standing in the water.

I think I need to bleach my eyes. Hisoka, why is it always Hisoka? Why is he always naked and there!? Though, I suppose I never got to thank him for getting me out the first time. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces, some people (Killua) also have very disgusted expressions. I cringe away at the sight of Bisky and Artemis drooling over him. I could not believe this. How could Bisky and my best friend be in love with a pedo pervert clown 😐. I'm disappointed in them. Without another second to spare Gon speaks up. "Why are you pretending to be Chrollo?" He smiled his yucky pedo smile and lies straight threw his teeth. "I'm trying to find Chrollo of course."

I scoff quietly but keep it to myself. Hisoka may be a pedo but he's not dumb. He knows full well that Chrollo can't be here. "Well you won't find him here! He can't use nen!" Gon keeps yelling while he talks to Hisoka, who only hums in response. Until Gon makes us have a group huddle. "I hate to admit it Gon but, Hisoka is probably a good choice for our team." Killua mumbles and glanced at Hisoka who was getting dressed. "I think he should join!" Artemis is completely out of it. She has heart eyes and is drooling. I grimace "unfortunately Killua's right." Hisoka speaks up and we turn back towards him. "Well if there isn't something you need I'll be on my way." He turns to walk away but Gon stops him. "Wait! Will you join our team to get the card, plot of beach?"

Hisoka pretends to think about it for a minute and then accepts, recommending that we visit the city of Aiai to search for more strong players. I simply grit my teeth and walk with my friends. I walk with Killua, having a hushed conversation about how weird Hisoka was. Then, out of nowhere we all got a chill that went up our spines. "Hisoka!" The four of us yelled in unison but Killua continued "you walk in front!" Now we're in front of some odd city. "What is this place?" I turned to Hisoka with a skeptical look and he smirks. "Aiai is the city of love." I scoff "we won't find anyone here." He shrugs and walks through the gates. I wait by them for Killua to reach me. When he does he pulls me aside.

"Y/n, I don't think Hisoka is looking for strong players. I think he's looking for a nen exorcist to give Chrollo his nen back." I nod in agreement "I bet he's already met up with the phantom troupe by now too." We finally walk into Aiai while conversing. I suddenly stop, a thought hitting me but I'm interrupted by a scream, me and Killua rush into an alleyway to see a girl getting jumped by three men. "Hey! What're your doing?!" I yell and activate my ren. Killua puts a hand on my shoulder "calm down, they're only npc's." I step back and very swiftly Killua punches all of them into the air. He brushes his hands off and pulls me away from the girl who was trying to thank him. We walk around for a few minutes in silence before I voice my concern. "You don't think he'd try to sell me out to the troupe do you?"

   I see Killua's brows knit together and a frown forms on his face. "I don't know, Hisoka saved you once but he might've had a change of heart. He's a wild card. We just need to be careful." I nod and we walk back to the entrance of the city. It seems Gon had the same idea as me and asks to see all of Hisoka's contacts. I walk up behind them, gyo activated, and see that Hisoka's somehow modified his contacts with nen. Some kind of ability I assume. I push it to the back of my mind for now, choosing to bring it up later. I flop over the side of Apollo while he walks around as Gon talks to someone on his binder. I think it's the guy that tested us to get into the game. I slip off the side of Apollo and fall onto my back on the concrete.

   Next thing I know Hisoka is leaning over me with a small smirk. I narrow my eyes at him and speak up. "Thanks for saving me a while back but I still don't trust you." His eyes narrow only the slightest, trying not to show his annoyance. I svowl and stand up, getting close and pointing my finger at him. "I know you lied about meeting the troupe and when I find out what game you're playing I won't hesitate to act." He let's out a wide smirk. "My, my, you grew up fast." He backed off and walked back over to the group, that stupid smirk still plastered on his face. I grit my teeth and clenched my fists. Somehow his words hurt. It struck a nerve.
Because he was right.
