His Pov:

I can not believe I have to cook my own food, I am a God! I guess I should though, after all, she gave me a room to stay. This whole Thomas thing is laughable, a mortal name for me. She seemed excited about choosing it though, mortals are easily amused.

She's waiting for me on the seats to cook, she's staring so intently at her screen, I watch her brown furrow and she places her index finger to her temples. Such a simple life but she's so stressed somehow, she looks tired.

What's that smell? Oh shoot the tomatoes, I rush to the pan and put it out from the fire. "Ow!" I wince moving my hand away from the pan.

Aurora rushes towards me "Are you okay, let me see," I reluctantly show her my hand.

"It's fine, I just forgot the mittens," I smiled at her to help bring comfort, she seemed worried.

She sighed heavily, still holding my hand she brought me over to the tap and ran cold water over the burn, I grimaced slightly at the sensation. "Does it hurt," she asks. I shifted between her eyes, her face inches from mine so that I could feel her heartbeat. "I've had worse," her expression softens almost a look of pity.

She clears her throat and steps away from me, my eyes still on her. Such a curiosity.

"Alright Aurora, food is done," she's staring off again, "uh Aurora," still no answer. I walk towards her, slightly tilting my head. She hasn't noticed me yet, I slowly kneel to her height and gently tap her shoulder. "Aurora.." she suddenly jolted upwards.

"Ah!" I let out a small yelp,

"What happened, are you alright?"

"No Aurora! Jeez, you scared me," I flipped my hair back, I can't believe I jumped. I cleared my throat to move on from the idea "Uh dinner is ready.."

She smiled, "Sorry I scared you."

We made our way to the table and she watched me as I dished out her food, I swear it seemed as if she was counting my breaths, her eyes never left me. I look up to meet her gaze, she widens her eyes as if startled by my stare.

I just shake my head, I am quite flattered, what do you expect being in the presence of a God? We ate our food in silence, the food turned out decent for my first meal. "Aurora how do you like the food," I noticed she hadn't touched it yet, her spoon just twirls the pasta around, "Aurora, you there..'

"Yeah, I'm listening–" She definitely was not.

"AURORA!!" It's like she keeps turning off, her whole mind just shuts down.

She reaches out and pulls away fallen strands from my face, the movement stops my breath for a moment. "Don't do that"

____________

She went to bed after that and I was left alone again with just me. I hesitantly close my eyes knowing what awaits me when I have fallen to sleep. I awake back in Asgard, Aries is walking past me and I immediately brace myself knowing how this interaction ended.

"Hey Aries can I ask-"

"What makes you think you can talk to me"

I'm caught off guard a little "Listen I just wanted to.."

"-What no, you have no right after what you did Loki"

"What I did, I thought you would understand, there was no other way,"

"No, there was another way, you didn't even come to me"

"Aries please, you're my closest fri-"

"Not anymore Loki, you are a monster, and you will forever be alone for what you did, only the heavens can help the next poor victim you decide to call a friend!" I stumble back at his tone, his words are the ones that hurt the most, my father, brother, anyone else I can hear it from but Aries.

Aries was someone I trusted, he was there despite the rumors, not even my blood reached out when I was left abandoned for years.

I wake up from the memory stretching my neck to the side. It's a memory I know word-for-word, it replays like a broken record on a loop.

I look towards Aurora's door, I'm going to hurt her. Whether I want to or not, others suffering seems to find a way into my path. "I'm sorry.."
