His pov:
Aurora and I have gone for some ice-cream, she's talking about what she learned today in class in disturbingly visual details. I don't know if I should find it concerning how passionate she's talking about this patient's case with a super rare disease.
..."Loki..." what! Who was.."Loki the prophecy is near, you must prepare her." I frantically look around trying to find where the voice is from.
"Uh Loki you alright," Aurora questions.
"Did you hear that!"
"Hear what..Oh my God what is it..what are you looking at...oh my god is it a spider...Loki WHERE IS IT!!"
What, what is she "No Aurora! The voice!"
"WHAT VOICE! Spiders can't speak..oh my god is it an Asgardian spider that speaks! Where is it..is it on me." It's hard to stay focused as Aurora's jumping and dusting her clothes screaming, I laugh at her, it was probably in my head.
"Aurora it's fine, there's no spider.."
She stops jumping. "Oh..Then why did you say there was.."she mutters.
"I never - I thought I heads this women speaking to me"
"What was she saying?"
"I don't know something about a prophecy...I'm just hearing things." Her brows furrow at my response and she spaces out for a second. "Aurora...you alright?"
"Loki something happened a while back, that day but before we met...the reason I was in the hospital..uh..I think someone intercepted my dream or something...not sure if that's a thing but they told me of this prophecy..." Wait what, what is happening.
"What do you mean,"
"I'm not sure I thought it was a dream or something but they brought me to the forest-y looking place with dead grass and"
"-Wait dead grass.." I know this place.
"Yeah..she didn't say much just that he would be here soon." What trickery is this? Was my meeting with Aurora planned, has fate been written, what even is the prophecy!
"Uh Loki..you okay..you're kind of freaking me out here."
"Sorry, it's probably nothing ...let's go back home." I need time to figure this out but the place she was talking about is in Asgard, how do I find any answers here?
Her pov:
Loki's been acting kind of strange since the spider prophecy thing. He seems distant. I stare at him as he swirls around his drink which he has been doing for the past 3 minutes.
"Loki?"
"Yeah.."
"Can I ask you something..."
"It's alright, you can ask me anything, I will be transparent"
"Can you tell me what happened to you, why were you banished"
He's silent for a moment.
"Sorry, you don't have to it's just –"
"No it's okay, you should know who I am....It's just hard to say."
"Tell me Aurora, is it justified to commit a crime to prevent a far worse fate from happening"
"I think I need more information Loki"
He sighs, should I not have asked again. "I did something...it is expected that all rulers of Asgard are pure Asgardian and to many that is what I was..me and my brother used to be quite close, we would fight those who harm Asgard and worked well but we would also play huge pranks," he laughs at the memory. "One time we had somehow convinced all of fathers council to dress up in red, which is a color only fathers wear, and he was furious at us."
"...Once Thor said something though about me...he was messing around and had told people I was part chimera and that was enough for the rumors to start about my lineage, it was this time I had found out I am not my fathers son, but to son of Kratos...he is a great warrior but a symbol of war and chaos and definitely not Asgardian." He stays silent for a moment before continuing.
"In our world, one not of true Asgard are seen as pests..so much to the extent that someone eventually took the liberty to try and exterminate them...there was a man named Titans and he..he would torture..hurt people till they were too weak and then he'd kill them and string their bodies up as a public statement...it was an awful thing to see...uh..the rumors Thor had started about me were brought up again at this time and eventually Titan got a hold of me..."
"He had...he was quite innovative..he never ran out of different methods..he said I was the worst of it..cause I had pretended and had the audacity of being part of the higher families..he wasn't able to kill me though cause then the royals would see justice..but he did try to make me wish he did...I was there for 42 nights before I was able to escape..."
"I immediately told my family about it.. But they did not believe me about what Titan had done and was continuing to do..Titan is part of a royal family and to threaten him is to bring down all the royals...they didn't want to get into the politics of it all...so they did nothing."
"I couldn't allow him to continue Aurora, I had wanted to bring him the pain he had brought to me and all the others, I refused to let him die until he was brought down to his knees...
the betrayal my family speaks of...I had brought into question all royal bloods true lineage...it was my hope I would bring Titans true intent into light or at least stop him from hurting anyone for the time being...he would never be able to harm ancient royals, they would kill him....I never would of thought in doing this that he would have the nerve to continue...but... he stole some of the royals children and...and he...it's my fault. I was acting recklessly, I wasn;t thinking properly as it cost so many lives....i'm a monster"
Oh Loki, I can't begin to understand his pain, I just want to take it all from him, it's too much for one person. "Loki you went through all that alone, all that pain and suffering and you still wanted to help your people, you're not a monster Loki," I reached out to hold his hand "Loki you are brave and resilient, you are a good person and anyone who tells you differently can speak to me." I don't know the right thing to say, I just want him to be alright.
"Aurora, how could I see myself like that...I killed people,"
"No Loki! Titan killed them!!! He should have been the one banished and the fact he wasn't says more about Asgards so-called politics than it does about you! It was their lack of justice that forced you to step in Loki! You tried to help!"
His pov:
"Aurora why are you crying," I smile at her
She stutters through fallen tears " I-I can't believe you had to go through this, all alone, all that suffering..."
"Aurora, it's okay, I will get my justice,"
"I will help you, whatever I can do," she jumps up and proclaims. I smile at her energy.and hold my arms around her.
It was this moment I felt safe, completely enshrouded by a sense of warmth and comfort. She got so passionate, so genuine, to destroy the person who caused me pain. "Thank you Aurora."
