I watch across the table in the conference room, the two sides are shouting at each other, throwing insults one after another while defending themselves when accused, playing the blaming game for two long hours, and nothing fruitful comes from these conferences.
I mentally sigh and rub my fingers between my nose before I took a glance at Yoda and Dooku; interestingly, the two just stare at each other from the beginning of the conference.
No glares or anything just a staring contest, it felt weird for some reason for not seeing them ripping each others throat, it's a good thing I guess it better be hope so.
I expect the two to throw sarcasms and a bit of insult, mostly from Dooku, but they seem to be too tired to do just that. Then I remember the attack of the Tyranids, which probably tired them out during the attack.
The shoutings are getting louder and louder, annoying me a little. Before it could get any louder, I spoke.
"Enough."
The word is enough to stop the shouting despite the loud noise from the two parties, but the tone I set is not amused and certainly annoyed at their behavior.
As I stare down each representative from both sides with an annoyed look, and as I stare into their eyes stoic, the representatives back off from their shoutings, holding their mouths shut.
"Disappointing," I speak.
"Do you have any idea what we are facing right now?"
Both representatives nod their heads.
"Then, why in the galaxy are all of you behaving like pompous children? Half the galaxy is near the brink of collapse, and millions are dying every second if we don't do something about it," I speak harshly, glaring at both parties.
"............"
"Tsk You are just wasting your time," I speak. Just as I was about to end the meeting, Yoda steps in.
"Apologies, Lord Carlos, plagued by the distress of the war, forgive them." Yoda spoke apologetic tone.
"As well, my representative, Sir Carlos," Dooku spoke.
Yoda glanced at Dooku before he look at me.
This is interesting to see. Are they reconciling their bonds as teacher and disciple, or are they just doing it for the sake of the alliance? One may not know, but for now.
"I will consider it for now, but make no mistake, time is a precious thing. Make this meeting worth it for a while before my patience runs thin. I have some work to do," I speak, my voice filled with a cold and apathetic tone.
Both Yoda and Dooku nod before Yoda lets Dooku speak to me, which surprises Dooku and intrigues me.
Soon, after much discussion between all of us, an agreement is reached, and an alliance is formed.
"After the end of this meeting, in less than 24 hours, I will send my troops towards Republic and CIS territories to reinforce and send relief goods that are under siege. Before the meeting ends, are there any questions or concerns that need to be tackled?" I speak, looking across the room.
All the people shake their heads, including Yoda and Dooku.
"Then this meeting is adjourned," I speak.
