For the past 7 days, Uk fought one Jeongjingak mage every day, he lost each day. But, Da-hye noticed he was improving his skills. This time, he fought Han Yeol. He lost because he fell into the dirty water.
"Young Master." Mu-deok quickly ran towards the water.
"Darn it, Uk." Dang-gu mumbled, he was just about to go into the water to help Uk when Yul stopped him.
"That is fine." Uk said, stopping Mu-deok from getting into the dirty water. "Do not come in."
"What a shame, Uk landed more blows this time." Dang-gu commented, while sighing.
"Are there two more left?" Yul asked, referring to the number of fights.
"Yes, Cha Beom will be up against him tomorrow." Da-hye nodded her head. "I do not think Uk will win, but I hope he does." she said. She hated Cha Beom with a passion. But she knew Uk's chances of winning were probably low.
"You should go instead. If you let Uk win, then this will all be over." Dang-gu turned to Da-hye.
"Me? Why me?" Da-hye furrowed her eyebrows and looked up at Dang-gu. She was not going to embarrass herself by letting Uk win.
"It will be less obvious to know that you let him win. Everyone knows that you do not like him very much." Dang-gu explained. Da-hye sighed, that did make sense. "I doubt that will make Uk happy." she argued.
"This is a bet against the Crown Prince. It will simply be outsmarting him." Dang-gu responded.
"Uk may be losing, but he is improving." Yul said. Uk picked up his sword and walked away. "I do not know who the last contender will be. But Uk will not be defeated that easily." he explained.
It was time for Da-hye's weekly walk. This time she went to parts of the capital that she hadn't seen before. She stopped by a stand to buy some snacks. "I would like strawberry taffy." Da-hye told the snack vendor, her eyes scanned all the other treats. "I will take honey biscuits as well."
"Strawberry taffy? You have expensive tastes." The snack vendor smiled.
"Thank you." Da-hye said, she took that as a compliment.
Yul's favorite snack was pine pollen tea snack. Da-hye wanted to see why he liked it so much. She picked up a pine pollen tea snack and ate it, and discovered the flavor was actually pretty good. "Would you like some of that too?" The snack vendor asked. Da-hye nodded her head and smiled.
Da-hye started to look at some fans while the snack vendor packaged up her snacks. A black fan caught her eye. The snack vendor gave Da-hye the white paper bag and Da-hye put it in her pouch. Then, she went back to look at the fans.
"Is there anything you like?" The shop vendor asked Da-hye.
"I will take this fan." Da-hye pointed towards the black fan and smiled.
"It is a bamboo silk fan. It is the best one here." The shop vendor smiled, as she took the pouch of coins from Da-hye.
As she was walking around, she saw a bridge. On the bridge, was Uk and the Crown Prince. They were gazing into each other's eyes.
"Are they in love?" Da-hye asked herself as a joke, and let out a small chuckle.
"That is enough!" The Crown Prince shouted. The Crown prince and Uk continued arguing. Da-hye did not care enough to listen to their conversation. She chuckled and continued walking.
Da-hye walked fast hoping to avoid the Crown Prince but that did not work out for her. She was not really looking where she was going and ended up bumping hard into someone. The person had fallen to the ground.
