Having been in the sofa for two hours, the tv has been opened, with Jen, her eyes closed, having been waiting for Gary to come by for a while. Hasn't arrived. Her hair, a bit messy from the movements she made in her sleep. Sleeping, in peace, no one to interrupt her as she remains laying down...
Sound of a doorbell ringing. Doesn't wake up Jen, not loud enough, she remains sleeping. Moving her body onto the right side, for comfort...
Sound of the doorbell, ringing once more but it continues ringing. Slowly waking Jen up, raising her body and opening her eyes. Her mind, still dark and blank from her sleep, she rubs her eyes with both hands, to enable them wide open before walking into the curtains, checking who's there, outside. Looking outside, a man, waiting. Not clear enough, she rubs her eyes a bit more, making her vision more clear.
Gary. Gary has made it to her home. He's been waiting out of the front gate for a number amount of minutes, too long or not too long.
Relieved to see him, she immediately runs out of the sofa. Looking at herself in the mirror, hair a bit messy and tangled from her nap, she fixes it, fast as she can, not wanting her best friend to think she done some crazy shit to make herself look like that. Sticking, grabs her hairbrush, moving it up and down, despite forcefully pushing the hairbrush due to its tangles. A bit painful, doesn't really care and couldn't feel it anymore.
The doorbell rings again. Keeping him waiting for too long. She rushes to the cupboard, grabbing the house keys. Thankfully untouched and remained there due to her memory. A thing Danny would make fun of her about, as he always has to remind her where her stuff or things are, or if she has something to attend to. Making her the subject of being teased by her little brother.
Inserting the key into the lock, twisting the lock, the door opens. Outside, Gary, looking around, not even bothering to use his phone to look at his social media, or call her to check up on her. Until he noticed her. A girl still in the clothes she's been wearing from the morning. Not changed at all.
"Hey."
"Hey." Gary smiles as he sees her starting to approach him.
"Can you go onto the other side?" Gary becomes confused by it, not sure what she's trying to say. "There's a door next to it. The big gate is only for the cars." said in a funny, nervous tone. He moves to the other side, as well as Jen. She finds the key for it, inserting it in, twisting the lock to the right side, opening the door. Alas, Gary finally has access.
"Hey." She hugs him. Surprising Gary as his arms, not touching her back, reeling in the feeling on what she has just done. Slowly putting his arms around her, hugging her back.
"You alright?" Asked in a curious tone. She opens her eyes, seeing her arms wrapped around him. Letting him go.
"Oh uhh, sorry... I didn't mean to do that."
"It's ok. It happens." She smiles, being nervous around him. Gary himself, doesn't, being able to talk to her without stumbling on his own words. Was able to get the call, he wonders why she asked him to come to her. While they were both in university together for their first day, Gary and Jen would continue doing their studies in the library. Wanting to do some work together, as well as help each other. That also includes for the both of them to get to know each other. Before leaving for Danny, Jen asked Gary for his phone number, enjoying spending time with him and wanting to continue having this connection. Through that, they got it, as well as telling him where she lives. Trusting him enough to drop by.
"Well. Starting off first, you mind telling me why you called me? Because from the tone of your voice on the call, you don't sound like yourself. You sound... frightened, afraid." Embarrassing for Jen but someone in her house is starting to creep her out. Thinking about it, she wondered if the intruder inside Danny's room was able to leave the house, or do something to her. That's some thought she considers stupid. Nothing happened to her in her sleep. In case some guardian angel stepped in to stop the man from doing crazy shit to her.
