They just passed one hour of their journey from their home street of London to Red City. Red City has been a part of the UK for more than 10 years. A bit shorter than the other cities around the world. This city was created by this one visionary guy who wanted to create a place for people to live in. He was inspired by his visit in Las Vegas. Las Vegas was so beautiful in fact he looked around in the country of UK and wondered why doesn't this country have that kind of place. For people to go to with their friends or by themselves and have fun. So he knew this kind of place had to be created for this country, to have their own Las Vegas, their own clubs, own bars, own casinos, everything he wanted in there.
There were lots of universities Jen could have picked from the UK but Red City got her attention. But she knew she had to take it for her little brother. She wants to make sure Danny has a bright future. What her mother promised her in the past.
Danny was sleeping during the car journey, Jen didn't bother to wake him up. They both didn't get a lot of sleep before packing up their things, as well as preparing to place everything in their new house. Jen is also sleeping, probably putting some music on the radio to wake herself up.
Music tends to keep Jen wide awake, mostly on loud volumes. But that could wake Danny up. Danny helped Jen with the packing. She couldn't do it alone as it contained everything they have in their old house and the things they have were completely personal for them. He didn't want his sister to be completely tired, even if Danny is reluctant to go to Red City.
CA-PI-TAL!!!
Danny and Jen's favourite radio station. They both loved the guys there talking inside their stations with other artists. But they know what kind of songs they like to play for their audiences.
He awakens from the music played by Charli XCX. Jen put the volume a little high as it's been a while since she was driving and she decided to put the music on high volume so that she won't fall asleep throughout the drive
"Ahhh how far are we?" Jen rotated her attention to Danny for a quick 5 seconds as soon as she heard his voice, noticing that he's awake now.
"30 minutes." Danny looked unsurprised about this. But he did wished they were already in Red City by then. It's been a long drive and he wants to get his ass out of the car.
"30 minutes, I thought we've already be in Red City. Getting the view out of it." Jen laughs at what he has said.
"Oh I wish little bro. I wish. I'm already wishing you knew how to drive so that you can take over. This is getting me bored and tired."
"Well nice try Jen. I'm still 14 years so can't do that." Jen smiled before rotating her head again to look at Danny for a few seconds.
"But I hope you did slept well Danny. I do need sleep after this." Danny gave her a small laugh, bothering Jen a bit.
"What you laughing at Danny?"
"What nothing. It's just the way you said it. Maybe." Jen is a little bothered by it but whatever joke he was making. It doesn't sound really funny to her.
"Oh yeah. Yeah. Laugh all you like Danny. Laugh all you like."
"I will. But not cause you're the one holding the wheel and you'll probably kill us both."
"Well you're right." The conversation gets put into a halt. Deafening silence between the both of them. Danny opens his mouth, wanting to say something to Jen but he's a little shy about it. Jen noticed it after a quick look.
Danny and Jen used to be close when he was a child. But once he reached the puberty stage, things started going silent between the both of them. They both haven't been talking properly since then. When they do, they would sometimes argue rather than have a proper conversation. Johnny was the only one that made those two continue talking in their times of silence. But Jen, even if Danny doesn't know it, she still loves him and is always there to look after him. Something Danny doesn't see from her.
