Daytime, Danny holding his phone next to his right ear, wanting someone to come pick up. Unsure who he's calling from it.
Sitting down in the sofa chair in the living room as he awaits a call from someone.
It's 8:10 in the morning. Danny isn't getting ready for school. Next to Danny in the sofa chair is Jen. Sleeping peacefully alongside him after the horrifying night they both had to go through."Hello." Joe's voice. Coming from Danny's phone.
"Joe, hey it's me."
"Hey Danny. What's up?" Danny looks at Jen for a quick second. Checking if she's still asleep.
Her eyes are tight shut. Not waking up from Danny's voice despite speaking in his normal tone voice. Jen and Danny couldn't sleep very well. It was a tough night. After what happened between the two of them. It's hard for them to comprehend what they both had to go through last night.
"I just need to tell you. And Amy, that I won't make it to school today." Joe on the other end doesn't answer. Leaving a bit of shock from him. Unsure of what to say to that.
Amy goes to Joe's phone, answering Danny. Possibly listening to what Danny is saying on the other end. "What do you mean you won't make it to school?"
Danny becomes reluctant. He doesn't want to admit what happened to him and Jen but a part of him wants to reveal it. Amy and Joe are always with him and are always willing to listen to what Danny has to say, even if it's something he can keep to himself. "Something happened last night." Silence on the other end. Lasting for a few seconds.
"What do you mean something happened last night?" In a worried tone from Joe.
"I don't know but I don't feel like talking about it right now." Amy and Joe understand. They know there's something going on and it's becoming worrying for the both of them. They really care about him.
"If you're not gonna make it to school, what are you doing then... in your house?" Danny doesn't answer immediately. He looks at Jen again, sleeping comfortably in the sofa behind Danny. Thankfully not kicking him, something that really annoys him and would be enough for him to leave the sofa chair. Not come back for a while.
Knowing Jen is perfectly safe with him for the meantime, returns to the call. "I'm gonna take care of my sister. And if you're asking me, 'it's because of what happened last night', yeah it is." Amy and Joe don't answer immediately. Starting to gain a thought on what's really happening right now.
"Okay then. I hope your sister is doing okay."
Danny looks at Jen again. "I hope so too."
"If you're not going to make it to school, we can drop by your house once the day is done. Besides one visit couldn't hurt." Said Joe.
Danny becomes a bit hesitant about it. Knowing the fact that Gary will be dropping by to check up on both of them. This might not be a bad idea. He would also need someone to talk to him. A couple of friends wouldn't hurt. Even for a single second. "Yeah sure. Drop by whenever you and Amy are both done. I don't mind you guys visiting me."
"Great, we'll meet you there after school."
"Yeah, looking forward to seeing you both." Danny said.
"Anyways, class is about to start, take care."
"Hope you'll be fine at home with your sister Danny. We'll see you after school." Amy responds.
"Thanks guys. Enjoy your 'classes'." With laughter coming out of his mouth. Amy and Joe also laugh on the other end.
"Very funny man. Alright gotta go bye."
"Bye." And Joe hangs up the call. Danny puts his phone on his left side. Jen wakes up.
