Everyone comes out of the classroom with their bags on backs, study materials on their hands. Inside, Jen and Gary, packing up, putting their study materials inside their bags, along with some paper the lecturer gave them.
"How did you find the lesson?"
"It's okay." Not the complete answer she gave Gary. Gary leaves it that way, the lecturer is still inside the classroom. Whatever answer they have for the lecture, they cannot do it in his face. A terrible answer would make him upset.
"I'll tell you how I actually felt about it once we're out and far from here." said Jen.
"Okay." They finish up putting the materials in their bags. Moved the table out of their way before standing up. Not the last people to come out of the classroom. There are still a bit more people there, finishing up slowly than faster. Most of them have already left the classroom, interested in wanting to go out and do what they want in their free times, as well as hang out with a couple of friends. Getting up, they leave the classroom, walk down the stairs and walk out of the building.
"It was a bit boring. Like the lecturer, could have made it more interesting, more engaging but he chose to do his presentation for the whole lesson with zero breaks. I feel like he should have thought about that to begin with." Gary laughs, he couldn't disagree with anything about what he had to go through in this lecture.
"You're right, but we can't stop him."
"Hahahaha yeah. Nothing to stop him and ask him if we could have a break. Or have some quiz we could do to... I don't know... test our knowledge or do something practical."
"But the practical stuff begins once our break is over." Really annoying to hear, wishing these things could begin now than later. Practical stuff of a module both Gary and Jen are learning are usually what makes the lessons more engaging, more interesting, more interactive.
"Yeah, that seems really true. Really want this to be over, don't really want to handle this long drive."
"Yeah same. I had to drive the same amount of hours as you to get to where our school is." Long driving makes it exhausting for the both of them.
"Let's go eat in this pizza place that I found nearby." said Gary. Jen looks at him, she can feel her stomach rumbling, feeling hungry after eating a small breakfast to get herself ready faster to drop her little brother to his first day of school.
"Yeah sure. I'll go." Gary, happy to hear this, he gives her an expression that shows appreciation. As a result, they both leave the classroom to walk to the pizza place which Gary admits serves the best pizza out of the whole world.
Coming out of the building they walk. The pizza place, Basement Browns, a place Jen and Danny found in Coventry while they were going for Coventry University's open day to look into the school Jen could continue her studies in but didn't eat there as both of them didn't have a lot of time to give them a try, wanting to beat the traffic.
"Hmmm Jen..." Jen turns her attention to him. Seems like he's going to ask her a question.
"What?"
"Nothing." Weird, there's something he wanted to say to her and his response is, Nothing. "Umm okay." Gary smiles, wanting to laugh but it's hard to hold. Jen's attention is still on him as they continue walking to Basement Browns and it's obvious there's something he wants to say to her. But wanting to mess around with her.
"What is it Gary? You're trying to hide it from me."
"What... no...."
"Ah ha. That's what my brother does and he would say it in that kind of manner." Almost true but with extra maturity that Danny doesn't have.
