»Merel's POV«

Sophia and I sat on the curb of the drop off/pick up zone at the airport. The warm weather, even this late, forced us to take our jackets off exposing our tattoos. Sophia only had three or four on her whole body, where as I was an ocean.

On her right, a glowing blue dragon covered most the upper half of her arm. It had black thorny vines and roses running all along the sides of the dragons body. The parrelel side had a much girlier tattoo; a flower with rainbow petals. Words stretched across the top that read People suck, but these are my exceptions. In each petal there was a name of someone from our group of friends. My name resided in the red petal because it was my favorite color and Seamus' in the green because of his Irish roots, along with four other names.

Her tattoo's fit her personality and mine did too. I had an Arkham Asylum tattoo of Harley Quinn that covered most my left arm. On my other arm I had Neith from Smite. Underneath the entire thing was something that said Your love is like bad medicine. It was a phrase the boys at school and around town would practically chant at me. Under that I had Heart-Shaped Glasses that read in their lenses That Blue is Getting Me High and underneath said And Making Me Low. That all is only my arms. On my wrists I also have the words "Citizen" and "Soldier" which references a 3 Doors Down song. That's only a third of my ink though.

As we sat and talked our rescue finally came. I'll be honest that I was a little disappointed to see Ashley tag along. It's just that I wanted this moment to be just us three, without her, because I haven't seen Seamus in so long.

Right as Seamus began to walk over from the driver's side Sophia ran up and hugged him. For a few seconds he picked her up off the ground. All of us back home would pick up Sophia anytime we hugged her. I don't know why. Maybe since she's so tiny it comes natrually. It was completely harmless, but Ashely didn't know that. She was staring at them like she wanted to kill a baby cow or something.

"I missed you so much!" Sophia told him as happy as she could.

"I missed you too Squirrelly but don't throw my back out!" He laughed.

Ashely's death stare continued and I couldn't help but butt in.

"Jealous?" I asked.

"No!" She protested.

Of course she'd never tell me of all people. She hated me without us even meeting before now. There was a point where she got so jealous of my friendship with Seamus she pulled one of those "me or her" deals. Seamus quit talking to me for a few months (well she thought so anyways) and then he told her I'm just a friend and she'll have to deal with us talking.

I laughed a little. "Don't worry! Everyone picks up Sophia when they hug her. How could you not wanna? She's so tiny."

She ignored me, of course. I truly didn't want her to hate Sophia. Me I'm fine with, but Sophia I'd prefer not.

Seamus walked over to me. We both greeted each other with big smiles.

"Hey Moe." He said softly.

"Hey Cowboy." I replied reaching up and wrapping my arms around his neck.

His skin is so soft. Every second I touch him I'm on cloud nine. He put his hands on my lower back and I could practically feel Ashely's stare. I didn't care what she thought. She had a right to be jealous. If I could I'd take Seamus all for myself. I didn't want to let go of him. His sweet cologne graced the air making me slowly go insane. As we parted are hug he grabbed my arm noticing a bruise.

He looked at me worried. "What happened to your arm?"

"Nothing." I lied. "You know how clumsy I am."

He knew I was lying. I'm a good liar, but I suck ass at lying to Seamus. Anyone that could lie to those eyes has no soul.

"You sure about that?" He asked starring me down.

"Promise."

You lying sack of shit I thought. The bruise came from a run-in with my boyfriend, Ronnie. Seamus knows that, but he let it go. Him and Ronnie hate each other with a passion. Last time they saw each other, the night ended at a police station.

Seamus broke out of the thought consuming his mind. "Ash, this is Merel and that's Sophia, or as everybody back home called them, Moe and Squirrelly. And you two already know Ash."

"Nice to meet you two." is all she said.

No extending of her hand, not even a smile. Nothing. Bitch.

Seamus realized the awkward silence and changed the subject as I helped him load our luggage into his car.

"So how's Ronnie?" He asked bitterly.

Ugh. Any subject but that one. I'd rather talk about murdering chickens... with curtains.

"Not happy I'm in Colorado." I sighed.

"Not happy you're in Colorado, or not happy you're in Colorado with me?"

"Both." I replied.

Glad to be getting away from this conversation, we hopped in the car. The car ride was silent. At some point Seamus turned up the radio, which had been playing a Daughtry album -their first to be exact. When the lyrics of Home started playing Seamus looked back at me in the rear view mirror with a smile almost like he knew what I was thinking.

I miss home. Sophia and I moved to Tennessee after she graduated college. Charlotte's in the army for now so it's just Sophia and I. All three of us are from Minnesota and how we met Seamus is a whole other story, but right now all I could think about was how much I wanted to be back home with everyone like in the old days.

I'd like to note that I do not think Ashley is a bitch. It's a fan fic and nothing more. I love her and her channel dearly and I think she's a doll. And about the chicken and curtains thing...few people will ever get it. It's an inside joke and to those that get it, I love your guts! (Mostly Squirrelly's guts cause she's the only one from school that reads this). Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed! Please vote and follow and all that magical stuff! Tell me whatcha think! I love feed back and until next time, I'm signing off.
