»Merel's POV«
I'll be honest, I was about to break. It had been a long few months since PAX. I had been planning Sophia's wedding with her, I had to go back home for Thanks Givings, and now Christmas is right around the corner. Also, I was working on a new book deal, and Seamus had me guest staring in his records constantly. There was way too much shit on my plate and I felt like I was going to fall.
If my friends weren't so amazing, I probably would have died by now. I'm lucky to have them, and they always know when I need some time to breathe. Of course when I was ready to explode, my phone started to ring. I heard the lyrics of Oath by Cher Lloyd playing and I knew it was my favorite Squirrel.
"Hey-hey-hey." She said upon answering.
I laughed. "S'up?"
"Welllllllllllll. I was wondering.... do you and Seamus wanna go and have dinner with James and I at some nice place? I don't really care where, I just think we all need to get our minds off of things."
"Hmmm, let me ask him." I told her, then put the phone on mute.
After all these years, we still put the phone on mute when we need to yell. Hell if I know why, because we hear each other yell on the daily.
"Hey babe?" I called from him.
"Whaat?" He complained.
Seamus walked into my office and leaned back on the desk.
"Sophia was wondering if we wanted to go out to eat to somewhere nice with her and James." I said.
He raised an eyebrow. "Well do you want to go?"
"I'm not playing that game with you." I laughed. "What do you want hard ass?"
"Sure, now I got to get back to editing."
He kissed me and was on his way out the door. I just shook my head, thinking about what a lovable asshole he is. Then I directed my attention back to the phone.
"Sure thing. What night?" I asked.
"Saturday?"
I looked at my calender. Most the dates were taken up, but magically Saturday was open.
"Perfect." I said. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Kay, bai!"
I set my phone down and looked out my window. The snow was falling in such a peaceful way. It makes me miss Minnesota, but it reminds me that my home is with Seamus. Maybe I don't love Colorado. It will never matter, because no other state has my baby. Also, not many states have such beautiful, romantic snow...
»Saturday Night«
"You look beautiful." Seamus complimented as I put on my heals.
"You too, Cowboy." I smiled.
This will probably be the first actual date Seamus and I have had in a while. We've never really been the "date" type. I guess its cause we've never liked labels or being so superficial. It was still nice every once and a while.
I was wearing a tight red dress. It was short, with a black belt and no straps. A black and ivory necklace Seamus gave me for my birthday complimented the whole thing. My black heals were shinny, and my pantie hose were tan. I felt so girlie, which I'm not used to. It makes me uncomfortable, but I'll try my best to act classy.
Seamus looked very sexy when he dressed up. He was wearing a plaid shirt, and blue jeans. Seeing him clean cut and confident turned me on. I love him this way, and I'm sure he likes it when I'm all girlie and shit.
