»Aleks' POV«
Right before I left last night I told Seamus to call me, but so far I haven't heard a thing and the sun was starting to set. I need to talk to him, tell him to just give in and not be blind. I see the spark in his eyes when he looks at her and I don't want him to throw it all away for another woman.
When I think a lot I end up grabbing my guitar and start playing without even realizing it like I'm on auto pilot. I strummed the cords gently with my back leaned in my chair and my bare feet up on my desk. I continued my train of thought as I pecked away at the strings.
I know the feelings Seamus has for her. He treats her so delicately, like the way I treat Tiffany. A lot of the others don't like her. I honestly don't get it, but I love her with all my heart and soul. That's the way Seamus feels about her and he might lose her cause of that bitch.
"Aleks!" I heard Eddie yell. "Can you come here please?"
"Be right there." I yelled back.
I set down my guitar next to my desk and ran out into the living room. I put on a smile to see Ashely sitting in the chair to the right of our couch. Normally my seat but I guess I'll forget it. Eddie was sitting on the couch and gestured for me to sit down on the footrest in front of him.
"What's up?" I asked.
He looked serious. I didn't want to know where this was going. Lord strike me down now because I do not want to have this conversation, whatever it was.
"We need to talk." He said as I sat down.
"About?" I looked at him worried.
He took a second to find the right words and get enough courage. Finally he choked an answer.
"We," He said glancing at Ashley then back at me. "We aren't really comfortable with you being friends with Merel."
I immediately shot up, pissed he said that. "I can't believe you two! I treat Seamus like a brother and you're even closer to him than me! So fucking what if I'm friends with one of Seamus' friends that just happens to be a girl?"
"So what? You see the way he looks at Merel like he constantly wants to fuck her."
He was cut off by my phone ringing. I pulled it out of my pocket to see a long awaited call from Seamus. I answered and he asked for me to meet him at the park. He said he wanted to talk and I thought good because I need to talk to him and I need to get out of this apartment. Once I hung up I headed straight for the door, grabbing my red Brother Blake hoodie on the way and basically jumping in my shoes. I looked back over my shoulder once again.
"You know what? If you don't wanna trust Seamus, I hope he does give you reason not to. I hope he does sleep with her, and when Ashely get pissed I hope she beats both her ass. She isn't someone you should screw with."
I said that and then slammed the door behind me. The park was just across the street and it was a beautiful night. The warm air sweeping in and the crickets singing all with the smells of spring made me miss Tiffany. Speak of the devil, just as I was crossing the street my phone started ringing.
"Hey babe." I said upon answering.
"Hey, I was calling cause I was just a little worried. You normally call by now, or at least text me."
I guess I was so caught up in everything I forgot. Well, I feel like shit now.
"I'm sorry, really it's just my head's been a little cloudy since last night."
"Oh... wait didn't you meet Seamus' friends then?"
"Yeah. They're both really nice girls. You'll like them a lot but Ashley and Natalie do not."
She sighed. "I hated them anyways."
We both laughed as I leaned against an old oak waiting for Seamus. It was as if he appeared out of no where when he walked up.
"Jesus Christ Seamus!" I yelled as I jumped back from the startle.
"Are you okay?" I heard Tiffany ask from the phone I nearly dropped.
"Yeah," I replied as Seamus chuckled. "I gotta go, kay beautiful?"
"Okay, but if anything happens tell me. I want to know when it's okay to openly hate those bitches." She laughed. "Bai baby."
I hung up and turned over to Seamus. He had a grin from the shock he gave me but even if he was amused he was apologetic.
"Sorry about that. I do that to people a lot and don't mean to." He spoke as we began to walk on the sidewalk path.
"It's okay. I think my yelling scared Tiffany more." I joked.
He grinned. "You and her and really good together."
"Funny you mention that. I was just thinking about that right before you called. You know, you have a good girl too, but not Ashley."
He hung his head. "I know. You mean Merel, don't cha?"
"Mhmm." I nodded. "You two are perfect. You both light up at the sight of each other. That's the way love is supposed to be. Not all this compromising you always have to do with Ashley. Right before you called, Eddie said something about how every time you look at Merel you look like you wanna sleep with her. I told him I hope you do, with Ashley sitting right there."
He took a deep breathe in and then let it go. "I did."
"What?" I looked at him confused.
"I did sleep with her. That's what I needed to tell you. I had to tell someone. James caught me too and told Nick. They have no clue I know that they know though."
Wow. That was unexpected but at the same time I should have seen it coming. I'm happy as hell that he did, but now he has to get rid of Ashley without all hell breaking loose.
"I... I have no clue what to do." He confessed.
What can I say? I was speechless. Seamus was stuck in this love triangle, I had a best friend that hated me, and who the hell knows what's going through James' head right now. We're fucked. I'm convinced that we're fucked.
