Few weeks have passed and somehow days have gotten a lot less lonely for Minji, finally there is someone waiting for her to come back home.
Whenever she comes home the cat would be right at her door looking at her with its tail slowly swaying. She would pick her up instantly then pepper it with kisses like she would always do.
In the mornings, Haerin would jump on her stomach and then walk up to her face then starts licking her nose to wake her up. The cat would stare at Minji as she brush her teeth, wash her face, would also wait outside the bathroom when Minji will take a quick morning shower. Both of them will then head downstairs for breakfast with Haerin sitting on the chair next to Minji's staring at her intently.
Minji would then place a bowl next to the cat on the chair and eat in silence.
At night, the cat would circle around Minji's lower leg, purring. Once again eating together with Minji smiling at the cat.
She was finally contented, she does think of Hanni too and she does talk to her at work too and even on calls at night but she doesn't feel that same jealousy anymore, well, at least she's trying."
That was because she was really indeed trying not to get attached to Hanni much that it's clear that all she can offer is friendship, heck it's even clear that the other girl doesn't sway the way she does.
It did hurt her at first, realizing that what Hanni like far from someone like her.
Instead Minji focuses on her work and to her newfound furrfriend, Haerin.
Walking back home Minji walks to the bus stop and waited when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her then steps halting behind her. She turns to see Hanni standing before her slightly panting with her usual friendly smile.
"Hey, I've been calling you, you don't seem to notice ms.""Oh, sorry. I didn't really hear you calling." She apologized and Hanni just nods.
"Are you heading home? Are you up for a cup of coffee?" Minji got thoughtful for a second, well it's been a while. Besides, just because Hanni couldn't like her the way she wanted means she can just cut her out of her life just like that like a jerk.
Besides.. she really can't say no to her. Eventhough she may force her feelings aside, try to put a hard face on, she still likes her, it's still Hanni.
"Okay, sure." with that the shorter girl lights up. Minji once again felt like she fell even harder for the other girl.
Oh, if only Hanni knows what she does to her heart right now.
That same fluttery feeling in her stomach, no matter how much she tries not to keep staring she always finds her eyes trailing back to the Vietnamese's face.
They talked about school, how their past weeks went. And Minji understood how tired the other girl is but still manages to smile.
Then she brought him up.
"What about Jungwon? is he helping you out with your tasks?"And Minji wished she didn't. Hanni laughed a little and playfully rolled her eyes.
"Uh no. All he did was ask for us to hang out with the others, the reason we couldn't do this often now." Hanni gestures to their coffees.Minji hums, she picks up her iced americano and took a big sip from it. She stared out the window when she saw a familiar golden furred cat walking down the sidewalk which caused her to furrow her eyevrows and perk up.
"Oh?"Hanni saw this and asks, staring out as well, trying to spot where Minji is staring at.
"What is it?" then she spots the cat which stopped walking, as if noticed Minji staring. It looked up at them with it's big cute eyes."It's Haerin." Minji says. Still eyeing the cat.
"That cat?" Minji simply nods before walking out to call the cat, the furry friend wasted no time approaching Minji and the latter picks it up.
"I didn't know you adopted a cat." Hanni spoke, eyeing the cat then giving Minji and smile.
The two walked side by side back to the bus stop where Minji used to drop Hanni at. She has Haerin in her arms securedly.
"Yeah, about a month ago. She used to have so many cuts and wounds all over her body I had to take her to the vet. She was so skinny back then.." Minji frowned at the memory. Hanni sinply smiled at her and puts up a hand and strokes the cat's head affectionately.
Haerin looks at Hanni, it doesn't look like it hates it but it doesn't look like it loves it either. She then turns its head to Minji and meows.
Minji lightly giggled and says to the cat,
"That's Hanni, Haerinie. She's a colleague ...and a friend."Hanni hums and smiles,
"That's right Haerinie~ She's so cute, look at her furr~" Hanni coos, Minji gave her an approving look. They finally reached the bus station. Hanni stood next to the few passengers waiting for the bus and says,
"Thanks for today and nice to meet you Haerin." the shorter girl waves and smiles at them.Minji smiles back, even widely. She just can't help it, today was fun for her too, she even got to feel the same butterflies in her stomach.
'Just, what are we Hanni?' she asks in her mind.
They're talking, having coffee alone, calls each other at night. Just what are they.
'Friends.' That's what Minji's subconscious say and she lightly frowns at that.
"Well, you two better get going now. The bus is here. Bye bye." Hanni says, flashing her one last smile before getting into the bus. Minji smiles at her and waves, the other girl waves back again once she's seated.
Then the bus drove off, Minji tried to calm her heart down, it's been a while since she went out with Hanni, and because of this the feelings that she thought that's already gone is back, even stronger and she hates it.
"Let's go home now Haerinie."

"You finally met her, isn't she cute?" Minji spoke to the cat which just looked at her before curling into a bowl.
Minji had a dreamy look on her eyes, smiling with her chin propped on her elbow on her desk.
"She's always like that to me Haerin. She's always nice, cute, always asks me to have a coffee with her after work, just the two of us. Then she'd call me at—"As if on cue, Minji's phone rang in which the latter grins at, saying to her cat:
"That's her." Before picking up the call."Hey.. what's up this time?" Then she laughs, she leans back on her seat and continued on with their conversation. With the cat sleeping soundly.
'She better not be keeping your hopes up'
