Hanni was currently laying on her couch, long weekend is exactly what she needed. She was scrolling through her social media account when a message popped up, it was from their department's group chat, she taps the message and it directs her to a video that Jeongin sent. She plays it and a smile made its way to her face but then she slightly furrowed her eyebrows in curiosity upon seeing the unfamiliar figure that's with Minji.
She replays it and pauses until the screen shows that the media is unavailable. She taps on the text bar and starts typing away.
"What was that Jeongin?" She notices that he's typing but a minute or so have passed and no message was sent.
She decided to call the guy who on the other side jumps and answers the call, he pushes his phone to Karina, then to Sulhyoon but then back to him,
"H-Hello, Hanni?""Why'd you remove the message? Was that Minji?" They heard her voice from the other line. "Who's the new girl?"
The three looked at each other and made knowing looks,
"Oh, I don't know. But I was thinking maybe you know.""No, I don't man.." the guy silently cackles and Sulhyoon had softly knock his head, smiling as well.
"I see.. Well, they look like they're close. Just saying, bye." Then he ends the call.
Hanni pulls her phone away from ber ear and looks st it with a small frown. She puses her lips before sighing, shrugging it off.
"Minji has a new friend?" she mumbles to herself, hums it off.
Might as well ask her about it, by the looks of it they look close. Minji didn't tell her that she have a friend coming over, well, why would she anyways? Does Minji really have to tell her everything about her? No.
Later that day, at night, she called Minji but she didn't answer her. Few two more days passed until long weekend ends.
Hanni was slightly bothered at the fact that Minji didn't call her back two days ago. Her mind drifts to the unfamiliar girl that she saw in the video with Minji. Was she perhaps liking her new company that she wouldn't bother calling her back?
Hanni waits on her seat, for the first time ever she even ignored Jungwon's persistence, not totally ignored by she would only half-heartedly give him her attention. Until she saw Minji standing up from her chair, it's lunch break and she's just dying to know about the other girl.
She approaches Minji who seems to be a bit jumpy today too,
"Hey Minji, I called you last friday, why didn't you call me back?" she acted like she was mad."I-I uh.. I was sorta busy that day and the next day I forgot to call you, sorry about that." Minji chuckles nervously and it was so unlike her.
"Can I come over later after work—"
"No! I mean.." Hanni was slightly surprised at the taller one's out ourburst, listens to her chuckle as she spoke.
"My house is kinda in need of cleaning, I can't have you walk in seeing all the mess.""No, it's okay. I don't mind, maybe I could be in any help to—"
"No, you don't have to!—" Hanni squints her eyes at the taller girl, eyeing her suspisciously.
"You don't have to. It's fine, I'll just call you later, okay?" Minji ends with a nervous chuckle, flashes her an awkwsrd smile.
Hanni eyes her for a second before sighing,
"Okay fine. Well then, aren't you having a lunch?""Yeah! I am, let's go." Hanni suspisciously eyed the other girl but then shrugs it off.
They ate while they converses, just like always. But then she can't help but notice how antsy Minji is on her seat.
"Is something bothering you Minji?"
