Months have passed and things are going perfectly well but Minji is starting to notice something about the things in her house.
Some unexplanable things are starting to happen, she doesn't know exactly when it started but she would find her television turn on in the middle of the night eventhough she remembers turning it off before going to bed.
Even running waters in bathrooms or in sink. Even the sound of clatters in her kitchen.
Knowing that she leaves alone, she's beyond spooked. Besides, Novermber is coming, the month of the spook Minji just thoughts it's just that and it'll all come down.
She's now brushing Haerin's golden furas she says,
"It's almost Halloween Haerin, scare away the evil spirits would ya? I heard you guys ward off evil spirits, so can you do that for me?"The cat just stares back at her while purring. loving the sensation of the brush on its furr.
"And don't go outside too much. You can't ward them off if you're not around."
Minji have also been noticing that her cat is mostly out, she doesn't know where it goes and one time she even had to go down the neighborhood to look for her, calling out to her in the middle of the night, in a whisper-shouting way though, she doesn't want to wake everyone else in the neighborhood.
Few days have passed again and Minji came back home with no cat waiting for her by the door, again. She places her bag on the couch and starts to get worried again.
She took her phone from her bag and with her working clothes on she walked around the neighborhood once again, looking for her cat.
"Haerinn~" she calls out, just loud enough for the cat to hear, that is if she's nearby.
Minji walks slowly, scanning the whole area, she checked the bushes, even nesr the trashbins because why not?
Until she heard a voice says,
"Hey."Minji jumps at that and she looks around to see to whom that unfamiliar voice came from.
She spots a woman in her late fifties standing by the porch. She walks out if her gate and looked at Minji. The latter bows down and apologizes.
"Sorry ma'am was I too loud? I was just looking for mt cat, maybe you've seen an orange cat around here?"The lady looked at Minji then to the apartment house in front of hers, Minji's apartment.
"No, I didn't see any cat lurking around here."Minji hum and nods, "Well, okay then. Sorry again for the trouble ma'am."
"Park. Just call me Mrs. Park. You live across my house am I right?"
Minji nods once again and introduces herself,
"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kim Minji, nice to meet you Mrs. Park. Yes, I do live across your house." Minji smiles courtly, bowing at the lady who seems to be busy scanning her house from across the street."Well.. I better get going now then Mrs. Park. Nice to meet you by the way—" Minji was about to turn around to leave but the woman calls to her again.
"Wait." With that she halts and faces her again.
The woman approaches her closer and said with an uncertain look on her face.
"Do you live alone?"Minji tried to push away the negative feelings away and says,
"Yes, I do Mrs. Park, why do you ask?"She did catch the confusion on the woman's face, the latter scans her clothes and asks again,
"You work?""Yes Mrs. Park."
"What time do you come home?" Minji furrows her eyebrows, she's starting to feel a bit off about the woman.
