Chapter 9: Mall incident. (part 2)

Walking around the corridors of the mall. Vex, Along with his new companions, were looking for something that he calls a "Flawed corner".

"So... Vex, Wht do we have to look for flawed corners?" Kiara asked, which the others were also wondering.

"Since the block curtain was unintentional, there's a possibility that a small area called flawed corners appear in a corner or two, that way we can reunite with Dante and that reaper." Vex explained.

"Speaking of which..." While taking out his cane, Vex points it towards a heard of Mutants.

As a dark summoning circle formed around the end of Vex's cane, the rest of the group took a step back to let him do something.

"I'll deal with these quickly, all you need to do is to watch and learn." Vex said while a massive serpent like creature came out of the summoning circle and swallowed the mutanted humans whole.

"Light work, no reaction." Vex desummoned his giant serpent creature.

"What even is that?" Gura asked.

"Oh, these? These are the manifestations of my nightmares." Vex said as Gura looked a bit puzzled by it and said.

"The more you speak, the more I'm convinced that you're V, from Devil may Cry-" Gura's words were cut short as she and the rest of her group were frozen in place for a split second. and within that split second, they could feel their bodies burn for a bit.

"How do we even know where the two of them are going?" Ina asked referring to Dante and Calli, obviously.

"We don't, let's just hope that we run into them soon." Vex said which the others groaned.

"Ugh, I can't believe I let something like this happen..." Calli said while dismembering bodies left and right.

"Y'know, you could just shut the fuck up and help me find an exit." Dante said while wandering around, looking for an exit.

"Wow, And to think-" Before Mori could start her rant, Dante shushed her and said.

"Shut it, I already found an exit." Dante stood up from his crouch and puts his hands in a hand sign.

"This might be risky... If I don't react on time, there would be major consequences... But if it means to end this whole bit quickly, this would be a risk I'm willing to take." Dante took a deep breath before amplifying mana into a small space within his core, a representation of his soul and power...

...An innate domain.

"Ryoiki Tenkai: Shinkyoku."As Dante chanted this technique, space has shifted, fear has been bestowed upon the victims minds as they'll burn 'till their deaths. Fortunately, Dante only set his domain for about a fraction of a second.

"...Nailed it." Just like in the simulations, Dante managed to break the curtain.

While separating his hands from one another, Dante turned over towards Calli to see if she's okay or not, but it seems that she's effected by his Domain.

"Hmm... It's best for you to be placed somewhere else safe while I look for the others." Dante picked Calli up bridal style as he began to walk towards a secure area.

Not even five minutes have passed, Calli began to snap back to reality. Looking around, she noticed that she was being carried, by who? She wondered until she looked up and see Dante.

A bit startled by his sudden move, she attempted to slap him in the face but in response, she was dropped onto the ground.

"Aw shit... My ass, dude..." Calli rubbed her ass(pause) in pain as she was then stood up by Dante pulling her up.
