Dinner had come to an end much to Jimin's relief. He watched as Zero walked out of the house with a bag in her hand. His legs started moving before he could register that he was following her.

It wasn't easy. He had to practically escape the house full of people asking him for things like he was Santa. Jin asked for a sports car, Yoongi asked for a mansion and Taehyung and Jungkook asked for apartments in the building that he lived in.

He was hesitant before he followed her to the backyard of the house. Where she walked into a small wooden tool shed. It was where the gang kept their weapons. Most of them belonged to Hoseok. Whenever anyone was brave enough to ask where he got them from he would only reply that he knew someone who knew someone.

He tiptoed and knocked on the door before opening it.

'Why are you following me?'

Her back was turned to him and she was busy setting up a sleeping bag on the floor.

Jimin was distracted by the amount of guns that were stacked in the rows of red shelves around the room. The shed had a damp smell that seemed to latch onto his senses.

'I'm just curious about you', he revealed. He mentally face palmed when the words left his mouth.

The door creaked as it opened open and Yoongi walked in. A cold gust of wind slipped through the crack and Jimin started rubbing his arm for warmth.

He sized Jimin up before walking to the sleeping bag on the floor. He had begun sleeping in the shed after he overheard the conversation between Namjoon and Zero. He had concluded that it was fair that if Namjoon was so afraid of Zero then he should also be afraid of him.

'Are joining the infected crew pink boy?',

Jimin took a step back to create some distance between them.

'You're infected too?'.

Yoongi nodded in response.

'You must be wondering why I'm here right?'

He had noticed the conflicted look on Jimin's face.

'The worst part of being infected is the fear. You become afraid of yourself and the people that you love also become afraid of you. You can't even blame them.'

'What's scarier than a wild animal? A human being who behaves like a wild animal', he added before taking a swig of the alcohol from the small bottle he had in his black jacket.

'How do you live like this every day?'

Yoongi's question was directed at Zero who had been silently watching him from the corner of the cold shed.

'I was born this way, it's not like I have a choice'.

She then stood up and took the alcohol away from his grasp. It was the reason he was being so talkative instead of drifting off to sleep like he usually did.

'Namjoon said you're not allowed to have this'.

Yoongi chuckled in response. He couldn't afford to risk the pain of going cold turkey with his deteriorating health. He had been trying as hard as he could to slowly fight off the dependency. So that no matter what happened, he could become someone who wouldn't be a disappointment to his friends.

'Namjoon isn't here so I'll do what I want', he took it back.

Jimin started slowly clapping and they slowly turned to him.

'That was amazing, can you repeat that whole speech while I record it?'

'Only if you'll get me that mansion pink boy', Yoongi demanded with a smirk on his face.

Zero looked at the camera in Jimin's hand with mild discomfort. The last time she had seen one was during a trial run. It had been the last day she got to spend with the rest of the mutants.

'What is it like, being a mutant?'

There would have been silence that followed. If Yoongi's soft snores didn't fill up the room.

'That what you were curious about?'

Jimin nodded as he adjusted the lens.

'I don't know how to answer that.' She muttered as she held her chin,' What's it like being human?'

Jimin was rendered speechless. The gears in his mind turned. Being human was accepting the heavy burden of emotions. Being human was being weak unless you had money power and status. Being human was agony.

'I don't know how to answer that.'

She gave him a small smile in response.

'I'll find out what it's like when I become one'.

Jimin's head peeked from behind the camera.

'That's possible?'

She nodded enthusiastically.

'I wonder what kind of human I'll be. When I become one, I want to be kind like Nanna'.

Jimin let out a breathy chuckle. He had only known the older woman for a few hours but he could tell that she was someone worth looking up to. On the other hand, he knew that he wasn't. Nurture is something hard to break out of, no matter how kind he pretends to be.

'What's it like being strong?'

Her smile dimmed at the question. Her mind plagued her with images of people cowering away whenever she displayed it. It was a part that she wanted to reject as vehemently as everyone else seemed to.

'It's something that makes me a monster'

Jimin wanted to disagree but could tell that it was a sour topic for her. If he had that strength all his life's problems would disappear. He had all the money in the world but he was still unable to run from his fate.

'I wish I was a monster', he muttered to himself but Zero heard him loud and clear.
