The foreign investors who had witnessed the Gala incident were bridled with the guilt of watching a child they had watched grow up be taken away in such a horrific manner. They all pulled out from funding Professor Sullivan's plan. They also donated money to help in eradicating the zombies that roamed the streets.

Professor Sullivan was placed in a maximum security prison and was bound to serve a life sentence. No one wanted anything to do with her so her research was never continued.

With the right amount of money, they were able to transform into completely different people. New faces, new names, new looks. The three had risen again from the ashes of their past lives like phoenixes.

They used their newfound freedom to explore who they truly wanted to be, without the limitations of the names that had tied them down like anchors to ships.

Mr Smith drove them to Emerald City where they were meeting the others not as a butler but as a father figure to all of them.

One would not be able to guess that the city used to be a slum. Most of the mining work was automated so most people in the mines could pursue the jobs they wanted.

Jin had become a world-famous racer that he had always wanted to be in a matter of weeks. He happily spent the billion dollars he earned to buy himself an extensive collection of the luxury sports cars he had always wanted. His most prized possession was still his truck, which he managed to fix.

Hoseok opened up a restaurant in the Emerald City. He planned to spend the rest of his days carrying on the dreams of someone important to him.

Taehyung and Jungkook became gamers. They spent all their time in front of screens much to Namjoon's annoyance, who had to visit them more often than he would have liked just to ensure that they wouldn't go blind.

Namjoon had bought himself a mansion and swore to never work again in his entire life. He spent his days reading in the indoor library he had built for himself. The nightmares still tormented him but this time he handled them by asking for help instead of bottling everything up.

Yoongi finally got to build himself a home that was filled with love and safety. He got a puppy named Holly who he cherished. He put his days of depending on drugs behind him and got clean. The shadow that clung onto him left him and he found peace.

The gang had been able to spread their wings after being trapped in their cages for so long.

Jimin pursued his dream of becoming a director and began working on some films. Since he didn't have his father's influence to get him the best jobs, he was just an assistant. He was still happy to be able to live his dream life.

He had switched to having blonde hair and blue contacts so no one ever recognized him.

Zero and Nine finally got to shed the name that had clung so hard to them their entire lives. They were no longer seen as monsters. They did not have the luxury of dreaming back in their childhood so they were unsure of what to do. Jimin encouraged them to try out every possible hobby and find out what they liked or do nothing at all.

They had spent the last few months secretly helping the military to eradicate the zombies that had threatened to destroy humanity. The sight of people walking down the streets was a stark contrast to what the city had looked like just a few months before.

The car stopped in front of the most famous restaurant in the city, 'Nanna's Kitchen'.

The rest had been standing at the front, waiting for them.

They all yelled as they stretched their arms to form a large group hug. Their happiness was so infectious that people who watched them jumping around in a circle could not help but smile warmly at them.
