𝟜𝟠 ℍ𝕆𝕌ℝ𝕊 𝔸𝔾𝕆Jimin watched as the news coverage of his Father's death was painted as a tragic incident that befell an innocent man.
Just because he was dead, he had now been painted to be an angel who had done no wrong. Even when he was the man responsible for single-handedly plunging the world into hell.
Jimin groaned in pain as he looked at the bleeding finger where his nail had once been. He signed as he looked at the scratch marks that he left on the table from pondering over all his anxious thoughts.
'Mr Park was a philanthropist who believed in helping everyone.'
Jimin almost grabbed the black remote to check if he was watching the news and not some twisted comedy show.
His bodyguards alerted him that his guests had arrived.
He stood up and walked to the living room. So lost in his thoughts that he did not notice the presence of the two people walking beside him. The two had been preoccupied with fighting in the large expanse of the backyard to determine who was the strongest between them.
He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Zero giving him a concerned glance.
'What's wrong?'
He instinctively held his hands behind his back.
'Nothing'.
Nine chuckled at his obvious behaviour as he opened a door and they walked through.
In the living room, Jin stood up as soon as the door opened, ready to pounce on Jimin.
He stopped when he saw the two mutants walking next to him. They were dressed in clean clothes and were ganging up to tease Jimin.
'You better explain yourself right now?', Taehyung demanded.
Jimin sank to his seat. Mr Smith noticed the state of his hands and left to retrieve his bandages.
'That was the only way to gain the trust of the military and get all of you safely out of there', he explained.
Jimin had been right to assume that the military had no trust in him. If he had shown any allegiance to his Father's ideals, they would have gotten rid of him.
They all nodded in understanding.
'I don't know how to put an end to all of this in a way that will benefit everyone', he admitted.
Taehyung was taken aback by the statement.
'The fact that someone like you is even considering us is enough for me to know that I can trust you'.
Jimin showed no reaction. Namjoon gave him a sympathetic look.
'The Gala is in two days, I'm hiring you guys to steal the cure', he said.
Namjoon looked at all of them.
'It will be our final mission'.
The day they had waited to arrive for so long was finally within their grasp. A bittersweet feeling of nostalgia grasped them as they thought of how far they had come.
Namjoon turned to Jimin.
'Give me a blueprint of the layout of the building and I'll make a plan myself, you should just worry about handling Sullivan'.
The television in that room was displaying the same news broadcast he had been watching earlier.
'No', he shook his head,' She is untouchable, if I try to jail her she will just be bailed out by her investors and if she dies too suddenly she will become some sort of martyr and her research will be continued'.
