A month later, we were sitting in the Great Hall with guests from foreign schools, Beaubaxton Academy and Dumstrang Institute (which happened to have Victor Krum as a student). Hogwarts was holding the Tri-Wizard Tournament. To most people's disappointment, you had to be seventeen to enter, due to the potential dangers that lurked within the three tasks. Over the coming weeks , hundreds of students entered from each school, and today was the day we would find out the three champions. We felt excitement and anticipation. Dumbledore waved his hand to dim the lights before reading out the first name. "From Beaubaxton's, Fleur Delacour." A young, elegant girl stood up. Her long blonde hair swung back and forth as she walked to the front. She shook Dumbledore's hand and entered another room. "From Dumstrang, Victor Krum." A loud cheer erupted from Dumstrang and some Bulgaria Quidditch team fans (including Ron). He had with very serious face as he did the same as Fleur. "And finally our very own champion, Cedric Diggory." The whole room cheered and clapped with pride. Cedric had light brown curls and a very defined jaw line. He was in Hufflepuff and I had met him at the World Cup. "There we have our three champions, congratulations! Now let us e-" Dumbledore started before another name erupted from the Goblet of Fire and into his hands. His face reflected confusion and horror. "Harry Potter?" He called. The room was silent. Harry looked lost, he looked as if he was about to throw up. Hermione gently nudged him forwards. Everyone's eyes were locked onto him. He reached the front and was led into the next room just as everyone else.
I had never seen Ron so angry when Harry came back. He stormed upstairs. Harry followed him, looking extremely pale, it was clear that he had been forced to compete. Ron and Harry's argument was extremely loud. Hermione ran into her dormitory really upset, she hated them fighting, they meant everything to her. "Ron's bang out of order in my opinion." I stated as Seamus sat down beside me. "I disagree. Harry shouldn't have put his name in in the first place. It was very sly." Seamus replied. I couldn't believe him. "You believe it? You really think with everything going on in Harry's life, he would want to put himself in more danger?" I retorted back. Seamus shrugged but then nodded. "It's another chance to win everyone over isn't it? The attention he'll get... I bet he'd love it." I felt furious with him for the first time ever. "I can't believe you wouldd say such a thing. Harry's not an attention seeker whatsoever. He's just extremely unlucky. Life is completely unfair to him." I snapped. "He's the complete opposite! How could you defend him? He's lying! Is it because you love him or what? Huh?" He shouted loudly. I felt like I was torn apart. Tears were streaming down my face. "H-How dare you! He's my best friend! He saved my life, he's been there for me when you weren't. And talking about love, you haven't said you love me once in all these four years. Do you know how small, unwanted and ugly that makes me feel? You're such an idiot!" I screamed through my tears before running to my dormitory and throwing myself onto my bed. As I tried to block everyone out, I swore I could hear sobs coming from Seamus downstairs but I decided just to ignore it, letting my exhaustion take over.
