When we arrived at the shrieking shack we saw Voldemort speaking to Snape. Nagini was slithering by Voldemort's foot. Voldemort spoke to Snape about the Elder wand, which Voldemort held in his hand, it was Dumbledore's old wand. "The Elder wand, it does not work for me. I did not win the wand. I will not be able to kill the boy when it's not rightfully mine. You are the one who killed its last owner, while you are alive it cannot truly answer to me." Voldemort sneered. Fear reflected in Snape's eyes. "My Lord..." Snape said anxiously, his voice was hoarse with weakness and horror. "You've been a faithful student, Severus, but you cannot live." Voldemort said. I felt sick with nerves. "Nagini, kill." Harry whispered to us as he understood the hiss that escaped Voldemort's lips. Blood splattered against the windows and my stomach churned. When Voldemort left, we ran in and sat down beside him. His neck was gushing with blood. I held his wound as Harry looked into his eyes. "Savannah... you were my most talented student... I admire your talent... you made my classes worthwhile... I'm sorry that I was unfair to your brother... you'll make a perfect potioneer... or teacher..." He whispered. I started to cry. "Harry. Take these tears to the pensieve, please." He said. Harry captured the tears in a vial and looked down. "Harry, look at me. You have your mother's eyes." He smiled weakly before taking his last breath and closing his eyes. It broke my heart. Voldemort's voice then entered our minds, causing us pain. "You have fought valiantly, but in vain- I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood is a terrible waste. I therefore commend my forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no

greater dishonour. Join me in the forbidden forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me." He demanded in a echoey whisper.

We all made our way back to see that no one was there. We went inside the Great Hall, Harry's hand was in mine, holding it tight with nerves. All was heard was sobbing. We saw the bodies of Colin Creevey, Lavender Brown, Remus and Tonks. Our hearts shattered into pieces when we saw the Weasleys crying over someone. Ron ran over and nearly collapsed backwards in shock. It was Fred. It was so heartbreaking to see a family be ripped to pieces. Ginny ran into my arms. "He died instantly in an explosion. He was fighting with Percy. They finally made up again, and he's gone..." She wailed. "I'm so sorry. Where's Harry?" I asked suddenly realising he wasn't holding my hand anymore. "You don't think he's gone to the forest?" She wondered. Panic rose in my stomach. Had he left without saying goodbye? "I hope not. He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye, surely?" I ensured her. She shrugged her shoulders. "I can't lose him Ginny." I said, breaking down in tears. She held me and reassured me. I decided to sit on the steps with Ron and Hermione, who were comforting each other. There was still no sign of Harry.
