I didn't speak to Seamus for at least a month. Every time he went to argue, I went up to my room. Although there was a painful hole in my heart, Harry's positivity kept me from breaking down. I entered the common room to see Neville staring at the Daily Prophet with fury. "Neville?" I called. "Savannah, she's escaped." He said in a frustrated and hurt voice. I looked at the front cover and I felt myself sinking into the nearest chair. Bellatrix Lestrange is a loyal death eater who was imprisoned in Azkaban up until now. She was imprisoned with others for torturing our parents with the cruciatus curse. My parents, Frank and Alice, were highly respected aurors who refused to give information on Voldemort's downfall. They were driven insane and they don't know who Neville or I are. They are in St Mungo's. I'm proud of them. They were brave. "Our nightmare is a reality." I sobbed. Neville hugged me sadly. "We have to avenge them." He insisted. I nodded.
I felt broken for hours, until Harry cheered me up again. "I'm holding secret Defence Against The Dark Arts classes. Umbridge is useless. You're welcome to join. It'll keep your mind off things." He announced. Umbridge was a cruel woman who worked for the ministry. She gave out horrible punishments and refused to let us use magic. "Count me in." I said happily. Harry gave me a hug. Harry taught us amazing spells to defend ourselves in the Room of Requirement. After the first week Harry joined me by the fireplace to speak. "I'm going to teach patronuses after Christmas. I can teach you now in advance, if you'd like?" I nodded. "The spell is Expecto Patronum. Think of the happiest memory, let it fill you, then cast it." He instructed. My first memory was when I met Seamus, but nothing happened. Harry kissing me then popped into my head. "Expecto Patronum!" I casted. A silver tiger erupted from the tip of my wand. It was beautiful. "Thank you for this. You've made me feel really happy after such a hard day." I smiled. Harry kissed my forehead before leaving the room.
Seamus entered the common room soon after, I got up to leave when he stopped me. "Savannah, wait, er, can we talk, please?" He asked to my surprise in a calm and nervous voice. I turned around and walked over to him. "Okay. I've been an idiot for the past year and a half and I'm so sorry. I've hurt you countless times due to my jealousy and disbelief and it's not fair. Each time that I have heard that you've cried yourself to sleep because of me, I feel whole myself being torn apart. The reason I'm jealous of you and Harry is because he gives you everything that I don't, he tells you how beautiful you are, he makes you feel loved and special, he's there for you when you need someone. That should've been me and I know that. I've tried to change but it never works out. I found it difficult to express myself. I'll regret that for the rest of my life. I know you love me, but I know that you love him too, in a stronger way. You need him and I've had to come to terms with that. He loves you too, I know because he looks at you the same way you looked at me in our first year. I've ruined us. You deserve to feel loved, and I can't give you that. I love you, I really do, but Harry loves you so much more. You're the first girl that I've loved and I will never forget what we had, you will always have a place in my heart, I cannot deny that." Seamus explained. I was speechless. I kissed his cheek. "Thank you,you don't realise how much that means to me to hear you say that. I'll always love you. Don't ever forget that Seamus. We did have very wonderful memories together." I beamed softly. He nodded. "I believe him by the way. I've signed up for Dumbledore's Army. I've apologised. Oh and for the first few days, could you keep the snogging to a minimum in front of me." He added. I laughed and hugged him. "I'll go fetch Harry. I wish you happiness. You deserve to be happy." He stated before disappearing.
Harry appeared a moment later. I couldn't help myself. I ran into his arms and kissed him. It didn't take him long to start kissing back. "I love you Harry James Potter." I whispered. He brushed my hair behind my ear before answering "I love you too Savannah Alice Longbottom." We kissed again, this time more passionately. I felt a surge of happiness. My life was complete and the hole that I felt inside had been cemented over.
