Chapter Thirteen~The Second Task.

I ignored the girls who asked if I was okay, Hermione was doing the same, she had fought with Ron over Victor and was also crying. The next day I simply blocked Seamus'  apologies out as we walked to the black lake for the second task. "Miss Longbottom, with me please." Professor McGonagall called out. I nodded. "The second task is for the champions to save loved ones, one for each champion. As Ron had refused, I must ask you as Hermione is Victor's to save." She started. I sighed. "What does this involve exactly? What am I doing?" I asked. She took my hands and explained "Basically, I will be freezing you and putting you in the lake for an hour max. As soon as you reach the surface, the spell will be broken." I agreed to it before following her to have the spell cast on me, along with Hermione, Cedric's girlfriend Cho Chang and Fleur's sister Gabrielle. Everything felt numb when the spell hit me, soon I fell unconscious.

I heard a loud high pitched ring in my ears as a huge gasp of breath escaped me as I hit the surface. I swam towards the platform where everyone was waiting. Hermione wrapped a towel around me while I looked around for Harry. We began to panic when he suddenly shot out of the water and landed beside me.  Hermione and Dumbledore tended to him while I untangled my hair. "Savannah?" I heard Seamus say behind me. His voice sounded shaky. I turned around to see he had been crying. "I'm so glad you're safe. When Dean told me you were in the lake, I felt broken. I just thinking about the last thing I said to you and it was painful. I hurt you. If you didn't survive, I would of have to live with pain through my whole life. I'm lost without you. I'm so sorry." He confessed sadly. I stood up and kissed him. "That's a good enough apology for me." I sighed. He smiled and hugged me tightly in his arms. Cedric won the second task, Harry came second as he had saved both me and Gabrielle as Fleur got hurt. He was now tied with Cedric overall. I felt proud of him and awarded him with a kiss on the top of his head, ignoring the butterflies that came with it.
