My heart leapt at the sight of Harry who was very much alive. "I thought you were gone." I said. He nodded. "I have the answer. Snape. He was on Dumbledore's side all along. He loved my mother ever since they were younger. He helped her discover her magic and taught her about Hogwarts. He sought to protect her. When she died, he sought to protect me. He sent the doe to the sword. The doe was also my mother's patronus. He was requested by Dumbledore to kill him. He was a brave man." Harry explained. "There's something else you found out, I see it in your eyes Harry." I told him. He looked down. "When Voldemort killed my parents and my mother's love stood in his way, his curse rebounded. A part of his soul lives inside me. It's why I can see into his mind, why I can talk to snakes. I have to die. It's the only way. I'm going to the forest." He admitted. I felt myself falling apart. What would my life be without him? He was my everything. "I'll come with you..." I whispered. Harry shook his head. "No. You need to stay here. Focus on killing the snake. Don't put yourself in danger. I have to go alone." He insisted.
Tears streamed down my face. Harry held me close, stoking my hair away from my face and kissing my tears away. "I don't want to lose you. I can't imagine living my life without you." I cried. He kissed me on the forehead. "I don't want to leave you but it's the only way. It kills me that I will never marry you, or see you have our first child. I will miss your smile so much, but your smile will be the last thing on my mind. I will always be here, but in your heart. I love you Savannah Alice Longbottom, you are my moon, stars, universe. I'm so sorry." He answered, tears brimming the surface of his eyes. "I love you too Harry James Potter." I smiled weakly. We kissed one last time. Although it was full of passion, our emotions made it unique and memorable. After we broke apart, he looked into my eyes and sighed "You're so beautiful." before letting go of my hand and running away, leaving me to feel vacant inside.
It was completely silent in the courtyard except for the noise of quiet sobs until we heard movement coming over the bridge. It was Voldemort and his followers. Hagrid was beside him holding a body, as they got closer, we saw it was Harry. I screamed in agony, dropping to the floor in grief. Everyone ran to see what was happening. Neville held me in his arms, looking up at Voldemort with pure rage. "Harry Potter is dead! You know put your faith in me!" He laughed. He tried to get people to join his side. Draco was forced to by his parents. Neville limped towards Voldemort. The death eaters laughed, Bellatrix being the loudest. "It doesn't matter that Harry's gone. People die everyday. Friends, family. Yeah, we lost Harry tonight. He's still with us, in our hearts. And Fred, Remus, Tonks... they didn't die in vain. But YOU will. You're wrong! Harry's heart heated for all of us. It's not over." Neville shouted. I watched him pick up the sorting hat and take out the sword of Gryffindor and went for the snake. At that precise moment, Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms and stood up. My heart had filled with warmth once more.
