'I... I don't know Cam. Part of me hopes we might but the other half is still so upset, angry and... Broken.' I sighed. We arrived just outside my door, I jumped out of the car grateful that the tiny yet awkward conversation was over.
'See you in about 15 minutes.' I waved.
'Yeah, I'll pick up the rest of the gang before getting you if your ok with that.' Cameron said.
'Yeah, of course it is.' Then Cameron started the car and drove off. I climbed up the stairs and went In side. I told my mum about our beach plan and she was all on board. I changed into my baby pink bikini and put on my baby blue jean shorts. I tied my hair in a high pony tail, switched my glasses into baby pink ones to match my bikini, fiddled around with my braces, put my white flip flops on and was just about to leave the house when I remembered that I had no top on, just my bikini top so I ran back upstairs and shoved on my 'in not wired I'm limited addition' T-shirt on. Then I ran back downstairs and waited outside for everyone else. I went on my iPhone 4 and checked Instagram. I sat on the curb and waited for them. After about 2 minutes of waiting I put my earphones In and played 5 Seconds Of Summer. Half way threw Out Of My Limit the car arrived. Cam was driving, Caitlyn was next to him, Hayes was behind Caitlyn and Shawn was behind Cam meaning I was in the middle. I jumped up off the curb and dove into the car.
'HEY GUYS!' I yelled.
'Sup.'
'Hey.'
'Hiya'
'Yo!' They all said.
'Lets go to the beach!!!' Cameron yelled. We all whooped and cheered as he set off. It took 10 minutes to get to the brag and lucky for us it wasn't busy at all, there were only 5-10 people actually at the beach. The first thing me and Caitlyn did was set out or beach towels and sunbathed, the boys followed our lead but didn't stay like that for long. Within 15 minutes of sunbathing they were already complaining.
'I'm borrreeeddd!' Cameron complained.
'Me too.' Shawn agreed.
'Yeah lets do something.' Hayes sighed.
'You guys are like toddlers, can't you just sit down and relax for 20 minutes?' I said.
'NO!!!' They all yelled.
'Fine!' Caitlyn said taking off her sunglasses. We all decided to go play football on the beach but considering me and Caitlyn Hayes football we didn't have much fun, that was until Hayes accidentally did a backflip in the air when he tried to do a header.
'Ouch! That hurt.' He whined. We all collapsed into a pile of laughter. Cameron went over to give him a hand up.
'Syke!' He yelled, retreating his hand from Hayes' reach. We all laughed even harder but sweet, innocent Shawn decided to do the right thing by actually helping him up and not messing around.
'Thanks man.' Hayes said.
'No problem bro.' Shawn replied as he patted him on the back.
'Ok, les cut the romance and go swim.' Cam grinned.
'It's called BROmamce and yeah good idea, swimming!' Shawn said. We all ran to the sea and splashed about. The waves were massive, Cameron was the tallest in the group and the waves were twice his size, some of the waves terrified me, especially considering i was the smallest. We swam out really far. So far that the waves hadn't foamed or curled over, they were just bumps in the sea. We were the I love you ones on the whole beach who had dared to go out that far but it seemed fine at the time therefore we kept on repeating how calm the sea was, until a missive wave came... I was gigantic, the biggest of them all.
'We will all dove under.' Shawn said.
'On the count of three.' Hayes added.
'1...' We all shouted.
'2...' The wave was coming closer.
'3!' We dove into the wave so it couldn't drag us down however, as I wasn't strong and was tiny the wave dragged my down under the sea, I was fine but it just gave me a shock. We all surfaced, one at a time, gasping for air.
'That was so fun!!!' Hayes laughed. We all agreed apart from Caitlyn who was still spitting out parts of the water that she gulped down. We all laughed at her and carried on talking. We thought it would be best of we went closer to shore but me and Caitlyn were a bit scared as the closer to shore we got the bigger the waves became, even though they denied it, the boys we also a little bit scared. Reluctantly we all swam closer to the beach because if we didn't we would get dragged further and further out to sea. The sky got darker through time and people left the beach as it got later and later. By the time it was 9:00pm we were still swimming. It was pitch black and the beach was deserted apart from us four. It was so much fun! At around 10:30pm we all became quite tired so we decided to go home. We ran out of the sea as fast as we could. Once we were out of the ocean we all froze.
'Hey guys...' Hayes said, 'where did we out our towels?' We all looked at each other and collapsed into a heap of laughter, we didn't know why as we had forgotten where we had out all of our things but the idea of not knowing where anything was sounded so funny. Once we had calmed down we started looking for our things. After about 10 minutes we heard a shout.
'FOUND THEM!' Caitlyn and Cameron laughed. We ran to where their voices where coming from and found all of our things. We got dry, shoved on our clothes and made our way up the beach and to the car. Cameron drove and dropped Shawn off first, them Caitlyn. Caitlyn was probably going to sleep at my house but she had to ask first. I was next to be dropped off and Hayes insisted on waking me to my door.
'Today was so fun!' I squealed.
'I know, I love the beach.' Hayes smiled
'Me too, I really want to start surfing.'
'I COULD TEACH YOU!' Hayes yelled a little too loudly. We laughed at his loud and overly excited comment. We have each other a hug which seemed to go on forever, but a good forever. When we moved away something happened. Our eyes locked, neither of us could look away, but it's not like we wanted to. We just hung there, on my front door step, enjoying each other's company when suddenly Hayes leaned in and kissed me. Not long after, he pulled away.
'Sorry...' He mumbled. He had a nervous look, kind of like he knew he shouldn't have done it however there was a gleam of happiness in his eyes.
'What for?' I asked, he had no reason to be sorry.
'Ummm, I don't know.' He giggled nervously. 'I guess sorry for springing the kiss upon you.' Hayes looked down to the ground.
'It was a surprise but a nice surprise, don't be sorry.' I replied. He looked up.
'So, you wouldn't mind it if I did it again?' Hayes asked with a sneaky smirk spread across his face. Without giving me a chance to reply, his lips smashed against mine.
'Whee did all this come from?' I asked, wondering why he kissed me so out of the blue.
'Well since you and Matt broke up these feeling took over me but I didn't want to act on them because you were so upset and I didn't want to come across as a jerk who asks you out as soon as your horrible break up.' Hayes explained.
'But why now? Why today? Why not yesterday or tomorrow?' I inquired.
'I don't know, I guess today, now, the time felt right.
