I'm on my way to my next lesson, geography, when Lexi (the meanest and most popular girl) and her minions came over and started mocking me. Usually I just walk away ignoring them and they leave me alone however this time when I tried walking away, they kept on following me, calling me names and mocking me. I never let their words get to me but this time was different, I felt more vulnerable so when they called me a good-for-nothing-geek and a looser-who-will-never-get-a-boyfriend I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I held my breath, turned around and told them to leave me alone but they just laughed and carried on when all of a sudden, Matt ran over from his locker.
'LEXI' he screamed. Lexi spun her head around to face Matt.
'Hey Matt, we were just telling this nerd that she should stay as far away from us as possible.' Lexi replied walking over to Matt, stroking his arm in a flirty way.
'Ugh, Lexi you make me sick! Stay as far away as Mollie as possible and you better make sure that I don't catch you bullying her again. Do you hear me?' Matt said.
'Oohhh Matt, you're so funny!' Lexi laughed.
'I said, DO YOU HEAR ME?!?' Matt shouted.
'Yeah yeah, I hear ya, come on girls, let's go.' Lexi walked off mortified but she made sure that she slammed my books onto the floor then ran off giggling. Matt rushed over to me.
'Oh my god! Mollie are you ok? Ignore them, they are just a pair of stupid girls.' Matt said, helping me pick up my books.
'Umm, yeah, sure.' I said not making eye contact. Matt was nice and all but being kind to a geek like me was not something a popular kid would do so I assumed that he was just being nice to my face so he could laugh at me behind my back.
'Well I have to get to class.' I said speed walking away.
'I'll walk with you.' He said jogging in the hallway trying to catch up with me even though I was far ahead.
