My dad came home just as my mum was cooking dinner, he knew that I was going out to the park with a few boys but he didn't know that Matt was my boyfriend. I had never had a boyfriend before do I was so worried about finding out his reaction.
We were all sitting at the table when my mum turns to me,
'So Mollie, are you and your 'boyfriend' going out again soon?' 'Oh no, my mum just mentioned my boyfriend!' I thought.
'Ummm....' I looked at my dad who just smiled at me.
'Yeah!' I said a little more confidently,
'I'm planning on going to the beach with him, Hayes and Shawn.'
'Oohh! Sounds fun!' My dad said.
'Are you going to bring any of YOUR friends?' My dad asked, still smiling.
'Well Shawn and Hayes are also My friends but yeah, I'm planning on taking Caitlyn, you know my best friend from school.' I replied.
'Is it just going to be you guys sweetie?' My mum asked while on her way to wash the dishes.
'No, Matt is also bringing his friend, Cameron, from school, he is in year 10 but that's just a year difference.' I said, walking over to help my mum each up.
'So, 4 boys and 2 girls...' I waited for dad to say something annoying but he didn't.
'Well I hope you all have a nice time, tell Matt I say hi and that I can't wait to meet him, will he be picking you up?' Dad asked. I told him that he was coming alone to my house and we were going to meet the rest of the gang at the park around the corner. I wondered of my dad would embarrass me in front of Matt but I knew my mum wouldn't let him.
