At around 2am I woke up to the of my phone ringing, I had different ringtones set for different people, for Hayes it was 18 by 5sos, for Cameron it was End up here, also by 5sos, for Caitlyn it was Brink it back by Shawn, for Matt it was Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran (I needed to change that ringtone) and for Shawn it was Kid on love by Shawn. The ringtone that was playing at the moment was Kid in love.
'What was Shawn doing calling me at this time?' I thought to my self.
'Hey Shawn, how come you're calling me?' I asked, answering the phone.
'We have just arrived at my house and Matt burst Into tears, we asked him what was wrong but all he said was that you broke up with him. Then we all realised that none of us (other than Hayes) had seen him since he last spoke to you till it was time for us to leave. What happened Mollie? Why did you break up?' I had almost forgotten about the break up as it was so early, hearing Shawn say it made it seem more real than ever. I started crying again.
'Because, because.' I said in between sobs. 'Because he cheated on me with, with.'
'With who?'
'With Lexi!'
'Oh Mollie, I am so sorry.' Shawn said before pulling the phone from his ear. Then I heard him tell. 'MATT WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?!' After that I heard a long silence, then, braking the silence, Matt replied.
'I. I don't know.' After that I heard crying. 'Are you on the phone to Mollie, can I talk to her? She hasn't been answering any of my calls.'
'NO!' I yelled, I couldn't stop my self from shouting. 'I don't want to talk to you. I am ignoring you for a reason! I am cutting you out of my life! I HATE YOU!'
'It's me again. Look, I'm going to have to go because Matt is a quivering wreck and me and the boys need to try and sort this out.' Shawn said.
'Ok, bye.' Then I put the phone down. I wasn't tired so I knew I wouldn't be able to fall asleep even though it was pitch black and the rest of the campsite were fast asleep. I decided to walk. I didn't know where, I was just walking around the massive campsite hoping I would be able to find my way back but that was the least of my worries. I put my headphones on and turned my music up, I was listening to Shawn's new album 'Handwritten'. I walked until I could see the sun cracking it's was through the clouds and pushing the moon away. Once it started getting light I sat down next to the river and watched the sunrise.
Once it reached 6:30am I thought it would be best if I made my way back to my tents as everyone one would be waking soon. I reached the tents at about 7:30 because I was taking my time and I had walked pretty far. The closer and closer I got to my tent the more the smell of freshly cooked pancakes filled my lungs. I was slightly happier knowing that my mum and aunty Kate were making pancakes because that was my favourite food.
'Morning Mollie, we wondered where you had got to.' My mum smiled, giving me a big hug.
'I got a phone call from Shawn at 2 so I answered but them I couldn't get back to sleep as I was no longer tired so I decided to go on a walk.' I said, filling my mum in on all the little details.
'Ok, how are you? We heard what happened.' Kate said.
'Yeah, I filled them in last night.' Caitlyn said, coming out of the tents.
'I'm fine.' I lied, putting on my bravest smile.
'No your not.' Caitlyn said.
'Your right. I really loved him.' I said. We all just stood there In silence not knowing what else to say, they didn't want to make things worse by saying the wrong things.
'Would you like some pancakes?' Mum asked.
'I would love some pancakes. With Nutella.' I smiled and for a moment I felt like I hadn't just had my heart smashed into a million pieces bit feeling went just as fast as it came when I got a text from Matt.
'Babe, I am so sorry, we can work this out. Please. Gone me one more chance.' The text read. I considered not replying but I needed to set something straight.
'There is no more 'us' Matt, no more 'we' or 'you and I'. We see over.'
