A/N: (I am really sorry for not uploading, but Wattpad is being a pain in the ass right now, I think it's a issue with my data connection, so updates may be slower from now on. Also because somebody on my discord server asked, yes you may take inspiration from my stuff, just don't steal it. Love you guys, hope you all have a good day :) , Also this is based off a song called The Ruler Of Everything by Tally Hall)

TW: Self harm, Dissociation, Depression, Anxiety & Panic attacks, Delusions / Illusions, suicide, 4th wall breaking (is that a TW??? Whatever), existential dread

A doe in headlights
Does it ponder?
Does it understand a fate it doesn't know?
Stuck
I don't feel like a deer in headlights quite yet
But the door
It's not there

Deer that graze these meadows
Deer that walk this afternoon
Deer that bite and kick
Docile prey, a confining box
Claustrophobic creatures that roam
These "deer" I feel I am
From Greek to Ancient Rome
My blindness

These knives
Carving my face off
Like a twisted dead tree
You don't see me
Floating around in the air
In your head
Driving everyone insane, insanity
Deer in headlights may seem as a bad expression
Tasteless execution of my mind
Don't properly understand
Don't look for trouble
600 stars above
I see them twist and flicker in my cold grasp
This mind
A delusional color of red
A shade

I can't tell
The difference of a deer
And the grass we graze
And the Gods we praise
And the time that foils us all
This bending complexion
Of my own conception
You may scream at the sun
But your fear of the nothingness
Shows how insignificant we truly are

Don't talk to me
Your words slip through me
Every heartbeat you waste
Goes to the wind
Flying like neon stretching paper kites
How pretty a morbid moment can be
The ruler of nothing and everything
I am nothing
But to you I am a incompressible amount of everything

Don't make me cut deeper
The blood that seeps
My tears I sow and reap
I'm trying my hardest
But in the end
It's nothing to fear
But fear will keep you safe
An aversion to something with ill intentions
But don't hang onto it
For it claims us all in the end
