it was the day the drama club was supposed to perform their very first act before it got cancelled.
except for his cats, jaemin was laying alone on his bed in his room. his eyes were glued on the ceiling, absentmindedly staring at it.
even though silence engulfed the room, loud chaos reigned in his head. his messy thoughts were sprinting miles in his mind, not giving him any break nor peace. he couldn't hear anything else than his thoughts. they didn't let him be at ease, instead, they did the complete opposite.
odd feelings spread in his chest. it was truly strange that he was suspended from school. jaemin admitted that it felt weird to be in that position.
the pink haired boy didn't know how long his suspension will be. his parents will be informed about the duration when they talk to the principal. the discussion happened to be today, making the junior even more anxious.
jaemin was surprised of himself that he missed school. he had never expected that, however, it must feel that like because he was reluctantly suspended and thus, seperated from his friends.
he missed hanging out with his friends in lunch break. he missed going to school with his best friends in the morning and afterwards, walking home with them. he missed the iconic drama club sessions that were so mich fun, his stomach hurted from laughing all the time. he missed the winter play of the drama club.
jaemin was still devastated about the annulment of the winter play. all drama club members put all their time and effort into the play just for it to be cancelled due to some ridiculous rumors, due to his scandals.
his rage grew and so did his guilt and sorrow. the pink haired boy blamed himself for the cancellation. the rumors were about him — something he wasn't truly at fault — but it felt like it was his fault. he was the reason the winter play got called off.
besides, jaemin didn't want to blame any of his friends. it felt wrong to. it wasn't justified. they were all innocent yet.
the pink haired boy found it better to blame himself for everything than anyone else.
his heart scattered into pieces when thinking about his friends and the teacher who worked so hard for this play. it destroyed him to imagine their disappointment and sadness about the sudden news of the annulment.
not only his heart was torn apart, his head was on the verge of breaking from overthinking.
a tired sigh escaped his lips, wanting the rumors to go extinct and wishing for peace for the drama club.
the pink haired boy snapped back into reality when he felt his three cats snuggling up to him, showing him their support and affection.
his cats luna and luke took a seat next to him on each side while lucy was making herself comfortable on his lap.
"my babies...", the male whispered softly, sat up and caressed them. jaemin couldn't help but smile at his sweet little friends. he was thankful for their company.
he could distract his mind thanks to his cats that were seeking his attention and affection.
not long after caressing and playing with his pets, the sound of a new notification drew his attention.
