"is it our turn now?", mark inquired excitedly and received a nod from the teacher. his lips tugged into a warm smile before his group stood up and went up to the stage.

the cinderella gang switched places with the group of four who hadn't performed yet. the six of them sat down in the seats and were looking forward to the performance of the other group.

"what are you going to play?", mrs. cha asked curiously. "glad you asked", jaemin grinned before clearing his throat.

"we're going to play our version of a typical k-drama!" "even self-scripted!", mark added proudly and let out some giggles.

"we're actually just trol-", renjun began and was ready to expose but yejoon covered his mouth with his hand and interrupted him in the middle of the sentence.

"we're actually just excited!", the boy with curly brown hair corrected and gave the chinese a side-eye.

"HELL YEAH", chenle shouted and kicked his feet in excitement. "quiet down, chenle", jisung whispered, trying to calm down the hyper boy.

"I'M SO READYYYY", donghyuck yelled exhilaratedly.

"not so loud, hyuck!"

"sorry evil stepmother."

"I WILL GIVE YOU EVIL IN YOUR F—"

"HAEWON, PLEASE CALM DOWN", jeno tried to calm down the noisy duo.

"hyuck is the start of haewon's villain arc", sooyun commented grinning and giggled in amusement.

"i mean she didn't lie", haewon replied jokingly and shrugged her shoulders.

"hehe okay, mary sue."

"HYUCK, I SWEAR TO GOD—"

"are you guys finished with screaming?", yejoon questioned with one eyebrow raised. "yup", donghyuck answered casually and the group was suddenly silent in a blink of eye.

"oh damn... quicker than expected", the younger boy noticed surprisedly but grinned, "thanks lol."

mark, jaemin and yejoon stood at the side of the stage and were rather in the background while renjun was positioned in the center of the stage.

the latter heaved a quiet sigh before putting on a brown wig. the chinese took some books in his arms and held them close to his chest.

he had to collect himself while glancing at the floor for a moment before he looked up to the audience, putting on a bright smile.

"hi, i'm jugyeong and i'm sooo excited for my new school!", renjun the female lead exclaimed happily but his smile dropped when a certain thought crossed his mind.

"but i hope... this school will be better than my old one", he added quietly but dramatically.

"yeah anyways let's go to the new school", renjun commented unseriously which made the whole audience laugh.

afterwards, yejoon entered the stage and stared at his phone while walking towards renjun.

the female lead was heading in the direction of yejoon, however, his or "her" eyes were glued on the floor. both of them had not noticed the other person which is why they bumped into each other.

renjun let his books drop (what a déjà-vu *coughs* chapter 07) and looked up to face yejoon.

"hey! watch out!", yejoon the male lead exclaimed coldly and glanced at renjun in annoyance. however, his eyes softened at the female lead's sight.

he was mesmerized by him aka "her". (damn, the author is confused if she should use him or her when referring to renjun the female lead.)

"i'm so sorry... i didn't mean to bump into you...", renjun apologized softly and bowed in front of him.
